These hollyweirdos have all the money in the world and they still get old and look like shit.  What chance do you think you have?  Good genetics is your only hope.

Almost nobody aged well back then.

Smoking 34 cigarettes during your shift at "Arsenic, Asbestos & Lead Inc" before going back to your wife and 7 kids generally isn't favorable to longevity.

Jeez, you call that pic of Tom Cruise old?  Fuck I hope I look like him when I get his age.  Fuck I was a kid when Top Gun came out and I'm 46 now...

And Jamie Lee, yeah her face is getting there but I'd still suck on those (o)(o) just based on your photographic evidence...

I think I read something about Brimley being a trashy biker type IRL. Arms and torso are tatted up and he usually has a pony tail. That blew my mind, lol.

Seems like in the last 3 years age has caught up with him

2015

2018

edit Like I posted earlier, he got a little fat while recovering from his broken ankle and when he lost the weight he looked more wrinkled, older. Maybe I'm just noticing it because he's always been sort of a legend for defying aging.

I feel like I'm aging quickly.  I can definitely see a lot more gray in my hair than a year or two ago, and I'm 32.

Having one kid, and then a set of twins two years later, will do that to you.

Celebrities are stuck in peoples minds as being around a particular age because the projects they did in that era of their career are in our collective memory. If James Dean and Marilyn Monroe had lived out their normal lifespans, instead of dying young, they'd have the same issue

Do you eat not too long after you wake up? Letting your muscle glycogen deplete (fasting) dramatically increases your production of p53 proteins (which repair DNA) and that prevents mitochondria DNA depletion, which seems to be a major factor in aging.

I posted about it somewhat here https://www.ar15.com/forums/General/Researchers-reverse-wrinkles-gray-hair-and-balding-in-mice/5-2130627/

My husband rolls out of bed and goes straight to the kitchen.  He just got up 5 minutes ago and has a bag of cashews right now.  I get nauseated just thinking about eating right after I wake up.  I like my coffee and then I'm good to go until suppertime most days.

He must have something else going for him though because I think he doesn't show his age at all.  This was his 45th birthday.

This happens when people defy aging for so long.  Tom Cruise, Pitt, Reeves, etc aged very well, but at some point you hit a threshold and from that point on it accelerates dramatically.  Because they looked good and so young for so long though, it seems more dramatic.

Cashews are pretty low glycemic, mostly fats. So that's not too bad. As long as the meal doesn't include a signifcant amount of carbs, its ok. Body muscle can store 1000-1500 calories and liver 400 calories IIRC so there's some room for a snack when waking. I usually eat a half serving of baked beans to go with my coffee every morning.

I save the high glycemic foods for later in the day after I do something physical. For men, that'll mean more androgen receptor activation. So the energy goes to rebuilding muscle.

Can do it in many ways, that would work. Though don't wait too long after working out to eat. That will elevate stress hormones and things like DHT which will age.

edit and you can eat, I would just make it a point to regularly fast for some time. Maybe if  you don't have much DNA damage you can get away with eating a fair amount of carbs some mornings. I know I need carbs mornings after basketball or a big weight routine.

I'd say its more of a general rule to live by rather than something that has to be done every day. Honestly, for me, fasting every day would not be pleasant. The science is something to be aware of (so that one doesn't stuff oneself every morning).
