Pfft. That happened back when Christie endorsed Trump. They were cheering him going in the AG slot though.

Is Trump purposely trying to make it as difficult as possible to get people to vote for him? Because, if so, he is doing a great job.

What is funny is this Bush operative said they were going to concentrate on down ballot elections, as though the party is not going to pay a heavy price in years to come for their wishy washy and outright hostile treatment of the voter's choice.  This is a battle for the soul of the party essentially.  The old party has been rejected by the voters, and rightfully so. All they care about is foreign policy, internationalism, and appeasing the Chamber of commerce....ceding over the culture war and other key issues in the process.  If Trump loses, they deserve to be taken to the woodshed for failing to get behind the will of their base....which is becoming very obvious that they never gave a shit about to begin with.

It might have gone over your head.  I was pointing out the dubious nature of a so-called "source" from the original article.

Article.  It's more of a throwaway paragraph followed by a rehash of a recap.

I am actively supporting no candidate this time. The Mango sucks. The Muncher sucks a little more, allegedly, if you trust Mango's conversion on the 2A (which I do not).

Not sure for whom I will vote. Maybe Mango. Maybe Mickey Mouse. Honestly, I like Mickey's supporters immeasurably more than I like the Mango's. We'll see. I'm assured that the Mango does not need my vote, in any case.

Everyone with half a brain knows that Trump is a Hillary plant who doesn't want to become President.

All of his numerous public assertions that she's incompetent, venal, and a criminal have already given that fact away; not to mention his slamming of  her bogus foundation.

Being vetted doesn't mean he is the choice, just one person among a list of possibilities. I highly doubt Christie will be the selection. Trump is going to pick a senator or current/former governor from a battleground state, most likely Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia or Florida.

NBC is now reporting that Indiana governor Mike Pence is also being considered for the VP slot. It would probably be advisable to just chill out and wait until Trump actually picks someone rather than going into typical GD panic mode over every little unsubstantiated rumor that gets tossed out.

I can agree with that. And I don't think Pence is the likely choice either. But someone like Pence is a much more likely option than Christie. I still think it will be a current/former governor from one of the key battleground states, or a well regarded senator from that same group of states. Ohio, Virginia, Florida or maybe even Pennsylvania is where I'd be focusing my attention. Three of those states have pretty much decided the outcomes of the past 4 presidential elections. You can bet that Trump and his people know this, as does Hillary's people. It wouldn't surprise me if they both end up choosing a VP candidate from that list of states.

That is a very logical and strategic perspective on who Trump SHOULD pick.

Virginia's out.  Our only recent R governor DQ'ed himself with that ethics/bribery conviction.  The remaining 3 of 4 are two backbench Democrat Senators and a current Hitlery bagman.  Although one may be on Hitlery's list.

Er... what I meant was Trump is a political genius who is re-writing the old rules.  Christie is actually a brilliant choice and those of you claiming otherwise are stuck in the old ways of thinking.  The two untrustworthy leftists together would usher in a landslide victory followed by an unprecedented expansion of liberty and economic prosperity.

If you point out that Christie is a bad choice, you are clearly a Clinton supporter.

The primaries are over, and now is the time to cheer loudly for anything Trump says or does; be it picking a RINO as VP, or supporting gun control.

Trump will make Big Government, RINOs and gun control GREAT again.
