Subject came up at the Thanksgiving table and thought it was interesting who was watching what. Not necessarily a "best of" list. More just curious.
What will you be watching? For us, I predict we will end up watching (not necessarily in this order): 1. Die Hard 2. Die Hard 2 3. Christmas Story 4. Muppet Christmas Carol 5. Elf 6. Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale 7. White Christmas 8. Lethal Weapon (doesn't feel like a Christmas movie, but my wife likes it and feels it follows naturally after the Die Hard movies) |

Christmas Vacation
Elf Juggler of Notre Dame (if I could just find a copy) |
|
I'm just doing die hard, and then I'll read the die hard Christmas book to the kids
|
|
I'll watch Die Hard, and A Christmas Story.
In reality, I fucking hate Christmas, but those are two traditions that will always last. Even if it's Christmas alone, just me and the dags. We will watch those movies. |
|
In addition to some of the above, "We're No Angels". The original Bogart one, not the turd Sean Penn remake.

Miracle on whatever street that was.
It’s a Wonderful Life. Lethal Weapon is anchored to Christmas most memorably in the cocaine bust at the Xmas tree lot. Riggs’ brazen nutsness and affection for the Three Stooges both on display. |

"Arthur Christmas" is actually pretty good. Bill Nighy as Grandpa Santa is hilarious.
and for those of your with Bavarian and/or Austrian heritage, grab "Krampus" on Blu-ray over at Bezos-mart for $6. It's supposed to be great (as far as a Christmas horror movie goes). |
