As if the majority of guns used in crimes are not stolen by felons.
Much easier to do, and works everytime. morans like chuck want people to believe that crimials get their guns legally by buying them from a gunshop and that criminals intent on armed robbery and murder will not break gun laws. When is this madness going to be stopped and people like schumer shown for what they are. |

I do NOT have or do NOT plan to buy a 3D printer, but I downloaded the files just to increase the download count and piss off Chuck. I think everyone should download the files just to give old Chuck something to bitch about.
BTW someone needs to explain to Chuckie how the interweb works and how he will never be able to remove the plans or block access to them. |

BTW, everyone who is worried that (metal) barrels will become registered parts like receivers to try and stymie 3D printed guns, there is already a solution that uses 3D printing.
You get some seamless metal tube of the right diameter, or just drill a straight hole yourself on a drill press. You 3D print a plastic spiral the size you need and in the twist rate you want. Put thin wire in the grooves, then insert it in the metal tube. You take a battery charger for a DC source, hook it up to the wires and the barrel steel, and run salt water through the barrel with an aquarium pump and a bucket. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/03/02/diy-barrel-rifling-using-salt-water-electricity-3d-printed-jig/ And DMLS printers will probably be $1000 or less by 2030 anyway. |

Also, The 3D gun files haven't exactly been hiding during the lawsuit. And only some of the designs are Cody Wilson's anyway.
Just Google "defcad fosscad mega pack" and it's all over the place, github, big download sites... Everywhere. The .zip file is about 4.5 gb and has hundreds of files in it. It gets updated open source style every few months with improvements and new designs. Even if you don't have a printer, you can download Cura for free. Just drag the .stl files from the mega pack .zip into Cura and you can see what they look like, rotate them in 3D etc. |

“Vice” had a short video on this last week.
While talking about the availability of easily 3D printed guns they showed an image of not only the actual goofy printed single shot plastic gun we all know, but also 3D renderings of an AR, AK, and VZ58. So of course if this is how it’s being covered, the uninformed now think people are printing out piles of fully formed AKs in their living room. |

I did print a full size lower at 100% infill. My printer definately needs some adjustment as the finished model was probably 95-99% full size. My spare FCG and upper wouldn't fit. |

State considered it an ITAR violation (it regulates the export of any tech that can be utilized by a foreign military). Violating ITAR is remarkably easy.
