Third package has arrived. Apparently my friend tried to call me yesterday at like 03:45 and I missed it. Here's the email he sent:
Brad, I have tried and tried calling to thank you so much for the first box you sent. It was like the scene from Shawshank Redemption when they were having their beer on the roof. It almost like we were in somebodies back yard and were free. We all thank you all so much. I will be looking for your next box. Will you add to your list some acids and pedrones please, I will send you a check to cover the cost. Thank you for your care and support. -1LT Young I told him to keep his money, however what the heck are Pedrones? Padrons? Perdomo? Perodis? Help. |

Consider that most of the guys over there are somewhere between 18-26 and probably aren't very experienced in cigars yet. About 2 years ago I sent over some really really good cigars to a friend. If possible, I'd direct mail your own box to PluckMaster. If you need his APO address, drop me an email and I'll get it over to you. Be sure to put 'books' or similar on your inventory customs area, people are getting all sorts of random crap stolen over there through the post. ETA for clarity: PluckMaster is requesting toothpaste. general hygeine items (soap, foot powder so on). The Acids are for 1LT Young's group. |

I know liquid soap is a PITA when shipping due to heat/cold expansion. If you go that route, I'd double bag everything and/or spend another few bucks shipping a separate box. When I first started shipping cigars I had a tube of Old Spice body wash grenade. Only thing saved were the cigars ^^ |

Was talking to one of the women in the office and I mentioned that I was sending things to help support the troops. This is how it went.
wganz holding iPad, "Yeah, here is a pix of the cigars that I just sent to the guy that is making up the boxes." woman, "Uh. ... Is that safe?" wganz =>  , "What is safe?"
woman, "The cigars." wganz =>  "What do you mean?"
woman, "Well, safe for them. You know." wganz => "No I don't know."
woman, "Well, for them to smoke." wganz =>  , "As compared to an IED or a mortar round or a sniper?"
woman, "Guess you got a point." |

So I am sitting at home minding my own business, thinking deep thoughts about the universe and enjoying an afternoon beer with my lunch when all of a sudden I hear a rapping on my door. Bemused why I have an afternoon caller on this otherwise uneventful Friday afternoon, I walk to the door but only to find out that my caller had already ran off. I am beginning to think that I was the subject of one of those teenage neighborhood pranksters when I look down to find this:
I ponder for a moment why a unexpected package is on my stoop, addressed to me, has the markings of over paid postage and taped up extraordinarily secure. For a moment I consider calling the Postmaster and having him remove this item from my possession, but my curiosity gets the better of me. As I tear open the package I am struck with the faint aroma of fine grade tobacco. Lo and behold, to my pleasure I discover bags and bags of cigars. 
At the bottom of the box, after what felt like a half hour of pulling these bags out, I find a folder containing instructions and a list of names and addresses that bear a striking resemblance to a document that I had viewed before. Then in a moment of clarity I realize, "Ahh, this is the troop pass coming back to me." Struggling to find out why the package is back in my possession I wonder aloud, "Did they find out about my recent cbid purchase? Nay, it must be an honest mistake, the addresses are not ordered correctly." So I sit here to find a couple nub's that have been placed in the pass. Having never had one, If you guys don't mind, I'll pass along some cbid goodies in exchange for the opportunity to try a nub or two. Shadow_walker, your up. I'll punt out Monday either Yay or Nay. |

That is quite alright. Don't worry about the postage, with all the boxes you are sending out I feel as though I owe you!
I tossed about a dozen stix in the box for good measure(can't let the priority unlimited weight go to waste) , couple COA's a few Padron's, Perdomo's and a couple others that I forgot about already  .
If I get up early enough to make it to the post office I'll get it out tomorrow, but don't bet on it. I'm currently enjoying a whiskey old fashion, sour with a couple more being planned for in the near future

Those Acids are two or three years old.
Oddly, they have not improved or gotten worse with age. They may be akin to the 5 yr old Mcdonalds cheeseburger that refuses to age. |

Got the pass today , a large flat rate box packed full of cigars , cutters , dip and other good stuff as seen in Umbra's pictures

Puts , plus a seperate box sent ahead of the pass . 
After seeing this box stuffed full of cigars and all the other boxes that were sent ahead of the pass I've come to the conclusion that you guys kick ass . Well done men . ETA I will send it out Monday . |

Wow, i totally forgot about this thread since the initial sign-up.
What a HUGE box of stuff for the troops! My Takes : Fonseca F MonteCristo media noche Trinidad Cuvee Rouge Puts : "Homemade" 5Vegas Sampler 5Vegas Red 5 Vegas Gold 5Vegas Gold Maduro 5Vegas "A" 5Vegas Shorty El Cobre Torpedo Oliva V maduro Pepin Blue Puros Indios Famous Nicaragua. And a leather 2-cigar transporter that hopefully some gent across the pond can use on long missions. However, its open to everyone here too if you were planning on getting one! Any objections? I will send it either tomorrow (Tuesday) or Wednesday morning, pending any insanely ridiculous mental health crisis calls. Guess who is on-call this week? |

I got it! Have been diseased for the last couple days & have not given it any attention. I am planning on spending some quality time in the shed tonight & will sort through the pass & get it out tomorrow
