Now they are 14 and 17 and can make their own conclusions but we never had difficult conversations when they were younger. |

Dont put decorations on city property (terrace or on a street sign post). Now if they had a ground mounted flag pole, have at it and the city can eat a dick along with the Karens who complained. BTW the city's media facebook page apparently got all butt hurt over the replies that they deleted the post. Whole lot of people commenting about that they are violating peoples 1st amendment rights by a government agency deleting peoples comments.
There was something similar here a number of years ago of a halloween decoration that got some people upset. A guy on a side road out of town (he lived in a county address so the city had nothing to say over it) had a old motorcycle that he tied up to the tree rear wheel up like it crashed into it and a stuffed mannequin with a helmet in the Y of the tree 5 feet higher. I found it funny and I ride. He put it up for a number of years. SHeriff Dept was getting calls regularly over it from people who thought it was an accident. SD didnt tell him to take it down, they asked if he could take it down because some people apparently couldnt tell it was a display and were calling 911. |
