Same mob: "What the fuck is up with mods enforcing rules inconsistently? This place sucks because mods don't enforce a consistent standard." It would be funny if posters like this at least recognized the contradiction. But, raging against the machine is always easier than designing a new one. |

Nobody randomly posts picture/videos of people getting murdered/dismembered throughout GD. That was a constant issue with the BOTD stuff back when it was allowed. It popped up everywhere, including threads where it was extremely distasteful(“Oh, your dad died and you could use some support? Here’s a chick in a thong to cheer you up.”). It got to a point where you couldn’t open any thread in GD without expecting to run into those images. |

I think the problem here is this website is pretty much the only website a LOT of people here visit, so they want boobs. Personally, I don't want that wives thread creeping into GD, and that's what would happen. Some of these guys have been told so much in that thread that their wives are hot, they think everybody will appreciate pictures of veiny low-hanging post menopausal udders, and that's just not true.
I come here to get away from porn.

Meh, I don’t care.
However I did get burned by this in GD once. I was in some random thread and someone posted a questionable pic. Well, I was also on a big gray ship and the ship IT dept flagged something and I had to explain to my CAG if I was looking at porn in a work computer . He got a laugh out of it.

I don't mind the rules as they are. If I want to see naked girls, there are plenty of sites where I can see naked girls. If you set some kind of conditional "I don't know what porn is, but I know it when I see it" or "this bikini is okay but that bikini is not okay" then you'd have a zillion internet lawyers turning each thread into a shitposting rodeo full of "well, he posted one worse than that last week" and "mine is just the same as his because you can't REALLY see her hoohaw" crap. The rules are what the rules are. Sometimes, posts slip through that violate the rules. Sometimes guys violate the rules without thinking that they're violating the rules. The mods seem to try their best to judge things fairly. Some things make me wonder, like when a post of mine got vanished just recently, but then it's not my website and I'm not in charge of what's proper and what's not.
