I do have a chip on my shoulder, and its going to get resolved. I'm not going to be threatened with a lawsuit to be silenced, and then continue being silent. If you have called out my apparently "hidden agenda" then you have succeeded. Yaay Congrats! |

Don't cont your chickens till they hatch. My ex-wife had a medical malpractice case that should have been a slam dunk. The doctor did surgery on the wrong disk, then admitted to doing, after he returned from a 9 day vacation.
The end result was hardly worth the effort. Just shut your mouth till it's done. |

Corby helped make prints for LWRC
Corby wanted either rifles or monetary compensation for his engineering work LWRC Said get bent, and Corby was not happy Corby sued LWRC LWRC Said Corby needs to prove he even worked for LWRC Corby produces prints and technical data that he worked on for LWRC and posts it on the internet. Corby says what now bishes?
And that's the low down from what I know. |

And that's the low down from what I know. Now we are getting somewhere! A few major details incorrect, corrected in (parenthesis) as follows: -Corby helped make prints for LWRC (which included the content of patent 8,342,075) -Corby wanted either rifles or monetary compensation for his engineering work (correct, I was provide half a rifle and no money) -LWRC Said get bent, and Corby was not happy (Incorrect, there was no ill-intent by either party at that time) -(Corby was challenged on snipershide by a third party as to whether he did any work for LWRC, Corby stated yes work was performed for LWRC) -(LWRCI threatened Corby to stop talking about and remove all references regarding his prior association with LWRC's technical data, and threatened to sue him for patent infringement and defamation) -(LWRCI posted on its forum and told others that Corby was a liar and never did any work for LWRC) -Corby sued LWRCI for defamation -LWRCI Said Corby needs to prove he even worked for LWRC (and submits a sworn affidavit to the Court that no work was performed by Corby, in its failed attempt at dismissal) -Corby produces prints and technical data that he worked on for LWRC and posts it on the internet. Corby says what now bishes? (Exactly)
-(9 months later, pending the Colt acquisition, and not learning from its first mistake, LWRCI then again threatened Corby for patent infringement and defamation) -(The following day, Corby again preemptively sued LWRCI but in a different court (Federal) for correction of inventorship against 8,342,075) -(LWRCI then sued Corby in the same court for "defaming" its IP portfolio and interfering with the Colt acquisition) |

From the little I know about Corby, he comes across a little rough around the edges. He's not afraid to tell you directly exactly what he is thinking, and some folks don't like that... He is from TX, and reminds me of Mark LaRue a little.
With that being said, i think Corby is correct and in the right on this deal from the research I have done on it. I would be pissed also if I was him. |

| No offense, but I can't think of one situation where a CEO or sole proprietor has used a gun forum on the interwebs to successfully state his case. They and their companies, regardless of the circumstance and being right or wrong, always come out a loser. When will you guys figure this out? I wish you luck, but there are better ways to handle your PR. |

Darren and Jesse had access to the same IP and were the primary spokespersons for LWRC at that time. In my opinion they are still employed with LWRCI because they may have framed PLW while he was out of the country. And I also think they are actively on this board and/or recruiting people to do whatever damage control is remaining available to save their acquisition. |

Mr Hall, disregard my post in the other thread. Found my answers here. I want an LWRC IC lower, this will certainly play into how I go about getting one. So if I understand this right, You did some engineering work and got paid for it. Now your suing to get a piece of the patient based on the work you already got paid for?http://www.ar15.com/forums/searchNew.html?b=1&f=5 It's called work for hire and it is not your work if it was developed while in the employ/contract of another. In short, you agreed to do work for someone and were paid for this work. The work now belongs to those you did the work for. End of story. Now I agree you should be given credit for the work but you can claim no ownership of it. Second, even if I was paid, there was no assignment of IP made in agreement with LWRC when I performed the work. Thank you for the non-advice. One of the partners is a patent attorney? Should I look into that to confirm? So far all we know is that you have no idea about how the 1st Amendment relates to you, and that you performed work under contract to LWRC. What you apparently don't understand is that you don't own that intellectual property, and that you aren't entitled to lay claim to it. Keep us up to date on the law suits, if you have enough money remaining to keep the lights on. Shouldn't you be standing in front of a lathe or assembling guns to fill old orders, instead of whining here? Are you representing yourself? |

Everyone looks bad, but company owner makes a permanent record of how F&D Defense handles customer service and PR that can haunt them for a decade. You know, I check into a company's rep before I spend $35 with them, because I'm cautious and frugal. Before I spend $3500, I make damn sure it's going to people that I can trust to do the right thing if I have any issues with their product. Guess which way your behaviour in this thread is inclining me? It's not towards your expensive vaporware piston rifle with the extensive record of...ok, no idea what - or your soon-to-be-counter-sued-out-of-existence company. The ordering terms on your website are interesting too - $750 non-refundable deposit, and no payment by credit cards - checks and bank checks only. And before you accuse me of shilling, I don't own an LWRC, or have any business dealings with them. I just know what it looks like when a company owner self-destucts on the internet. Proclaiming loudly and publicly that you don't need the business of anyone who doesn't like the way you fling mud around is one of key signs. |
