I would like to get a reasonably priced lever action .44 magnum rifle but I'm still looking for a pretty good deal.
Also, loaded with 275 grain cowboy loads I think my wife could handle one no sweat. It's only zigging out the barrel at about 875 fps but has virtually no recoil for home defense in case I'm not here. I think once she gets familiar with the rifle I can work her into .44 spl loads like no sweat. I don't know why but she's not real hip on her AR but really liked my Marlin 336 in 30-30 and could work the lever action very smooth. So, I guess it would be a double win because I want her to be competent at the needful if it ever comes up. |

One 10/22 build and a not-a-10/22 build in anticipation for my can
Got a used 10/22 to stuff inside a DT Trek 22 bullpup kit. Added a Fedderson bull barrel and BX trigger, topped it with a Vortex SPARC AR and Inforce light I had lying around. Very sleek but nothing serious. The trigger is funky as hell  it’s a light pull but there is no wall or anything letting you know that it’s about to fire Second is for my thermal: TacSol receiver and SBX barrel, just ordered a Grey Birch La Chassis, still mulling over which Kidd trigger to get, and snagged a Black Friday PA Micro Prism and ADM QD mount to use as a daytime/backup optic. |

Designed by Porsche to be a light weight go anywhere people hauler. The Jeep was really more of a small truck designed to haul stuff and also people. It evolved into the Type 181 Thing later on. The Kubel was light and no 4WD. It’s a limited slip, portal axles, high ground clearance and a flat belly pan. The idea was to slide over things rather than power through them with 4WD. They were well thought of by the GIs who commandeered them during the war. They only built about 30K of them so real ones can be had but bring serious money. This one is a metal framework and body built on a 1970 Beetle pan so more power, cheaper, better parts availability and not afraid to drive it. It should be fun for me and my boys. Amazing what you can do when you no longer have a nagging soon to be ex-wife harping about how you spend your money!
