Unconfirmed
Russian S-400 intercepted Israeli jets north of Lebanon. |
|
Everyone knows the Russians have S-400s in Syria. I would be surprised to hear Israeli aircraft are shot down by them if they knew the danger.
|
|
from the twitter
New Israeli attack is taking place now Jets can b heard all over south-east #Lebanon |
|

i'll hold out for an actual news source. Not saying it isn't happening, just need confirmation.

Well launching on an IAF jet is certainly one way to turn expensive pieces of air defense equipment into smoking piles of scrap really fast, Abu Hajaar's cousin must have been in the command truck making that call.
ETA: If that happened, we'll see. As a general rule Syrian SAM sites catch a case of Sgt. Shultz and "Don't see nothing, don't know nothing..." if there are Israeli fighters anywhere near them. |

Kinda sorta tag..
That could be bad jew jew if the Russians and Israelis start throwin shots at one another. Like start of WWIII bad. |
|
I'm looking for other sources as well, weekend activity usually is rare for this kind of stuff. Report of 25 missiles launched from Syria, don't know how reliable this source is.
|
|
Well, you bomb somewhere long enough, eventually they're going to shoot back.
Godspeed to Americans there. |

Didn’t this “happen” on Twitter a month or two ago and turned out to be fake news?

Air raid sirens heard in the Golan Heights, Beit She'an By Hagay Hacohen February 10, 2018 06:20 Sirens head in the Golan Heights and Beit She'an Saturday, no casualties reported, residents report movement of IAA jets and what sounds like explosions. |
|
Probably on ongoing operation for all sides so may not be official updates until it is over.

The Israeli army said Saturday morning that it intercepted an Iranian drone launched from Syria into Israeli territory. In response to the provocation, the IDF attacked Iranian targets in Syria.
Due to Syrian anti-aircraft fire, says the army, red alert sirens sounded in multiple areas of northern Israel, first in the northern Israeli town of Beit She’an and later in the surrounding areas and Golan Heights. Residents reported hearing many explosions in the last half hour and heavy aerial activity in the area near Israel's borders with Jordan and Syria. The Syrian army and rebels in the Syrian Golan Heights are currently exchanging heavy fire. https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/red-alert-sirens-sound-heavy-aerial-activity-in-northern-israel-1.5806508 |

These things happen when you violate other countries airspace as a rule, and launch attacks on the lawful government.

Well, Russia mad their olympians can't compete under the mother's flag. Probably just a hissy fit with aircraft.

The much vaunted S-400 has been more of a propaganda puff piece than anything else. While I don't scoff at the threat, the IAF has a history of circumventing heavily defended areas for decades and decades.

I wonder if the F-35 will draw first blood over Israel? I’m pretty sure the F-15 & -16 had first blood with the IAF.
