It's an obvious answer to say the Gulf badged GT40...my favorite car to ever exist, but I got thinking what are some of other coolest cars & their famous paint schemes?
I actually like the Gulf scheme on the Porsche 917 even better.  Also loved Smokey Yunick's "7/8" Chevelle from 1968 (Yeah, Reese Bobby's car was inspired by this).  What's your faves? |

Davey Allison's black Havoline 28 car.
That 28 was 1BMF but man was it hard on drivers.

The light blue/orange scheme of the Gulf cars is one of the most iconic and easily identifiable color combinations.
I don't think I have seen another scheme that comes close. Really, who would have through those two colors would look that good together? |
