If your ir laser is on you're emitting and therefore not passive. |

I still need to try out one of those Modlite IR heads. The IR850 supposedly has a 300y IR hotspot.

I'm a big fan of the piggyback RMR for passive aiming.
The EOTech is better for passive (easier to get behind and standard advantages of the reticle), but the ability to cock your head to the side and drop down onto the other optic if white light comes on is a nice option. |

Good news - the vet has recommended against Mia seeing the neurologist as she has no nervous degradation or whatever words she used. That means no specialist and no need for an MRI.
Mia will get new X-rays of her spine to confirm discospondylitis. Fingers crossed that's all it is and it can be treated with drugs. There's a glimmer of light. |
