1) I neither believe nor trust a single word that comes out of DOJ at this point

2) I am not real big on the idea of the DOJ deciding that some speech constitutes "illegal propaganda"

3) I'm also not real big on the idea of them deciding to put people in prison for "sowing discord".

That all sounds an awful lot like the DOJ trying to put people in jail for having unpopular opinions and then voicing them.

Also, if the DOJ is suddenly interested in foreign governments giving money to and supporting political candidates for office, then they can probably find a nice, juicy target at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

The DOJ isn't deciding that speech constitutes "illegal propaganda." They are alleging these Americans are operating as unregistered agents of a foreign power, which you know, you can easily avoid by not taking said foreign power's money.

Meanwhile we have a laptop, a gun from a dumpster, 9 members of the Biden family that have received payouts, tax crimes, Chinese and Ukraine business dealings, bank records, witnesses wanting to testify to a Grand Jury and so on....

Uncle does this kind of shit all the time - using foreign residents to sow discord and disseminate propaganda within their country to influence the public and destabilize the country.  At best, it should be deportation for any foreign agent caught promoting it.

From the same people that tried to frame the sitting US President as a Russian agent. A large amount of the retarded general public still believes he was guilty. Why aren't MSM orgs all across the country having to payout billion dollar settlements for all of the lies and slander they reported for years?

When will a Republican DA finally indict a Democrat?

It's not like you're registering your car.  The whole point to the law is you are acting on behalf of a foreign power, which looks suspiciously like treason in many places.  Here in the enlightened U.S, you can still do that legally and get paid handsomely for it.  You just have to register yourself as an agent of a foreign country lobbying on their behalf.

When you don't register until after you're caught, it looks more like the traitor thing.

Yeah, that's not unreasonable. The Bidens are a giant crime family getting away with things you or I would be jailed for.

At the same time, the Russians are paying Americans to shitpost and presumably DOJ can show the nexus in payments since they charged the crime.  And you know, you can still get legally paid to shittpost for Russians if you just register.

You are going to get a lot of people that didn't read the article at all, but I did. I get the mistrust of our government, and it's completely justified mistrust, but I'm thinking, just in this case, they are actually doing good work. I feel a little sick just saying that, because I have next to no trust at all for our government myself. One thing really stuck out to me in the article. The leader of Black Hammer was charged in this.

Moreover, from at least November 2014 until July 2022, Ionov allegedly engaged in a years-long foreign malign influence campaign targeting the United States. As a part of the campaign, Ionov allegedly recruited members of political groups within the United States, including the African People’s Socialist Party and the Uhuru Movement (collectively, the APSP) in Florida, Black Hammer in Georgia and a political group in California (referred to in the superseding indictment as U.S. Political Group 3), to participate in the influence campaign and act as agents of Russia in the United States, including the following indicted defendants:

Omali Yeshitela, a U.S. citizen residing in St. Petersburg, Florida, and St. Louis, Missouri, who served as the chairman and founder of the APSP;
Penny Joanne Hess, a U.S. citizen residing in St. Petersburg, Florida, and St. Louis, Missouri, who served as the leader of a component of the APSP;
Jesse Nevel, a U.S. citizen residing in St. Petersburg, Florida, and St. Louis, Missouri, who served as a member of a component of the APSP; and
Augustus C. Romain Jr., aka Gazi Kodzo, a U.S. citizen residing in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Atlanta, who served as a leader of the APSP and a founder of Black Hammer in Georgia.

They were those commies that said they bought property in CO, but were run out by the sherriff of that area for trespassing.

Historically, most of my aggression has been pretty direct.  If it's passive, that's purely accidental.

I don't remember the 101st Airborne murdering Americans and am not familiar with that.

The Russian immigrants in question are naturalized American citizens, so it's basically easier to imprison them for life than deport them.

Big takeaway:

1) Don't take orders and money from Russians if you wish to stay out of jail.
2) If you can't follow #1, register yourself as a foreign agent and continue living your life.

Good.

I guess the Americans decided that they didn’t want to be murdered despite the Federal Government’s kind offer. Funnily enough that’s probably a major reason why they did segregation in the first place. Not wanting to be murdered.

Kind of a catch 22 when you consider it.

My big rebuttal to your big take away is that it’s probably racist to assume that they can read. Kinda hard to fill out forms being my point.

Being able to read at a 12th grade level. That’s my standard. It’s also the standard of society as almost all jobs require a high school diploma or the equivalent to hire a person.

I think that’s a federally mandated requirement isn’t it?

You have to have proof that you can read at 12th grade level to get a job?

Being the government, I couldn't find any numbers more recent than 2019, but it appears the number was 37% being able to read at a 12th grade level then. Also, the feds generally can't mandate job requirements for non-Fed positions.

I was going off the NAEP numbers. According to it it’s about 17% for 2019. The NAEP is a product of the NCES. A federal agency.

I’m being dead serious. Not Joking. These people are being fucked. I don’t like their politics. They would Thanos snap my ass out of existence quicker than lightning and make America a black caliphate. I know that. But a fucking is a fucking.

You can feed the Russians to bears for all I care. But it would probably make more sense to deport them and just to not allow Russian immigration.

Man, the progressives have done an outstanding job on you all. You think you're being resistant and obstructive to their cause, but you've played right into it. They've got you so twisted around that you are now supporting foreign propagandists sowing disinformation in our country with the intent of damaging it.

They are using our freedoms to destroy us. And the patriots are helping them do it.

Well done.
