Star Wars character with the hair.
Who dresses the news people? |

This is a local news reporter in Cincinnati. She praises the television station for allowing her to have her natural hair. Reminds me of Sideshow Bob. |
|
I'm sure it's just the poor quality photo but does she look really "happy to see us"?
|

Both representations so far appear to be actual females. Which is a step in the right direction.
The second one looks good, that hair-hatted abominations a lot of black women end up using look way worse. Of course, she's not 200 pounds over weight which helps a lot. |

A news station actually put someone on the air that looks like that.
If not for the hair and clothes she would not look that bad. |
|
It's hard to believe that no one on the planet has the balls to tell stupid people with the moronic/unflattering/beast like/man bun/fluorescent hairdos that they look like suck and refer them to an Optometrist/Opthamologist/Psych.

View Quote I wish more were willing to do unique three dimensional styles. There seems to be potential for real expression there. Im not familiar with the intricacies of the hair texture itself, but Id like to imagine its somewhat like trimming a shrub. |

It's almost like she purposely is trying to make herself ugly . Maybe seeing how much she can test the limits of the station until they tell her she can't go on air looking like that and she can call racism and file a lawsuit.

I guess if it gets your attention, gets people talking about her, and most importantly causes people to watch that station rather than another station, she would be deemed successful. But a would a news traffic CLOWN would accomplish the same goal of gathering viewers.
It would be interesting if they had a news traffic MIME that could do their bit on TV without talking, yet still convey all the information. I might even watch that. Combine the current person, a CLOWN, and a MIME, that changed outfits daily, and I darned sure would watch to see what they came up with next. That would actually make otherwise boring parts of the news entertaining: Weather CLOWN. Traffic MIME. Sports RODEO CLOWN. All of those three (weather, traffic, sports) would have to change outfits daily. |

That first one has a nice body, looks like great tits. The clothing and hair style really suck, though.
The second one is pretty cute. That hairstyle is nice. It's not a natural color but, shit, all women do that! |

Why are we so blind to see,

OP, you should be ashamed for not posting a warning. I suffered temporary blindness from that picture. Was that the traffic girl for Capitol City in The Hunger Games?

First thing I thought of with that hair was don’t be a menace in south central while drinking juice Fuck beat not once but twice For what it’s worth without that hair she might be cute. |
|
Quoted: I'm sorry she didn't portray YOUR idea of beautiful. She isn't her hair View Quote Left to its own devices, my hair would be naturally oily and in a permanent state of bed head, but that doesn't make it beautiful. Her hair isn't in a vacuum, it's surrounded by cultural mores and folkways guiding everyone's sensibilities and actions. Clown hair is clown hair in our society. It's only demanded to be called beautiful because of cynical racial politics promoted by society's social justice betas. |

View Quote I never knew wearing butt pads was a cultural thing. When did wearing a whoopee cushion become fashionable? |

Meh, genetics doesn’t give some people many easy hairstyles. Now you may understand why so many just shave their heads and wear wigs.
I was more shocked last time I was in DC at the size of the traffic girl. I’m from WI so I know a heifer when I see one. She had a girth for radio as she blocked the majority of the green screen she was standing in front of. I suspect becoming a traffic person on the news is as entry level of a broadcasting career you can get. |

Quoted: that "natural" do took a lot of work. View Quote You mean she is not naturally blonde? Sometimes my wife and daughter get braids, or straighten. Mostly just brush out though. Black hair is a labor intensive / expensive pain if anything but a simple comb out / brush out. Ever since the 60s, some of the "black" hairstyles are done as a counterculture signal, and often love bombed to keep people doing it, regardless of aesthetics. I notice around our area, ~50% of mug shots in the news have the "worms" style of locks, for years on end. It can't just be coincidence that a large portion of the criminal element share the same hairstyle AND mentality towards decent behavior in society. It is so noticeable as to be nearly part of a uniform. |
