Regardless of your opinion of Dean Spier, can we PLEASE not spark dissent between two gun boards? We ARE all on the same side of the RKBA fight. You want to be childish and hotlink Mr. Spier's images on your own personal web page? Fine. Don't do it here.

I'd rather not have to edit out all the crap, and hope all of you will do it yourselves.

Here's some food for thought.....

A few years back Dean did the same with the owner of cetmerifles.com.......something about posting KB pictures linked to his site. He raised quite the ruckuss much like this past incident.

Fast foward to last October......I posted the story of my ND with pics on cetmerifles.com, and within a month this showed up on Dean's site: Word for word. Pics too.

He didn't ask the owner of cetmerifles.com, and only after I emailed him (Dean) and said "nice site" did he ask me if it was ok....

A bit of a double standard to say the least.

He really is a douchebag. Steals stories, steals bandwith and then starts throwing stones when someone like me hotlinks to two of his tupperware photos without knowing it.

I actually felt bad for using his bandwith and photos without his permission. Now I see that he does this to other people.

I'm not bashing the guy's website or his politics. I started this thread to figure out if he really was as big a dickhead as he came across.

No, I'm saying that it would probably be better (for this site) not to ACTIVELY TRY to piss off other gunboards. I'd say that:

7.) Posting topics or discussions with the desire to do the site or community harm. More specifically creating topics meant to disrupt the site's day to day management, disrupt member's resources, or disrupt the ability for the site to function normally.

Like I said. If you want to use your own web resources to keep a silly feud going between you and Dean Spier, I couldn't care less. But I'm sure AR15.com doesn't need any more hassles than it has already (especially if they're completely avoidable.)

I had a similar thing happen years go

they guy sent me a email that said

Hey Im from www.****.com I see you are linking to some of my pics
I run a small sight personally and have to pay for my own bandwidth
could you please remove those pics or host them on your own ?

That's a good point. Spier has posted here before and the few times I have posted back and forth with him he was pretty pleasant. In fact as he has an account here I'm going to call it a day on this thread since this is degenerating into name calling.

If SC-Texas has some compelling reason to add more about this he can send me an e-mail.
