Reverse the order and you've probably got it.
Those dudes have a nasty bite that infects their prey, then they follow them around until they die.

Komodo’s eat a lot of carrion so it may or may not have killed the fawn.

Interesting that a lot of these videos of Komodos eating only show the act of eating. No kill shots.

Probably a lot of set ups.

I watched that four or five times until my wife told me I was getting obsessed. I would really like to hunt one of these buds with a .577 T-Rex and about four rounds of monolithic solids. Green light. At night. I told my wife whatever. I'll ''F'' that lizard up and blow one of it's legs off like an asshole.

I have seen fairly small lace monitors eat rabbits in basically the same manner. Size ratio is comparable as well

Knew people who had wolves. Panther, ape. 175lb snakes. Dozens of hot snakes.

scariest animal I was ever around was a 6ft nile monitor.  Absolutely the most viscous animal ever. Lighting fast.  Climbs jumps. Claws and teeth that shred welding gloves in seconds.  And wants to kill everything. Always.

Eta. Def real.  Other video posted the dragon eats that deer fetus is the same manner as the op video after he rips it out the still floppy mom.  Prob same size.

Are they really outsized if the species routinely gets that big?

Crocodile monitors get a bit longer but Komodos are much heavier.

Effects of a Komodo Dragon bite.

Their bite causes rapid breakdown of tissue. It's pretty frightening just how fast the bacteria works.
