I don’t have one, but after seeing all the pics of the ones owned by members here, I have the urge to get a Ruger .44 Special Bisley…… namely one of those Lipsey specials
What say ye? Blow the money on one? Double action instead? I’m torn between the .44 and the .45 Colt, mainly because I have a Smith in .44 Special |

Hrm.... not a fan of the Bisley style personally, if I were you I'd try to hold something in that design before ordering/buying...
That said, yes, everyone needs at least 2 revolvers (SA or DA) - one 22lr and one in 357 or bigger I'm still pondering the 22, and my "357 or bigger" is black powder, but I'm considering a 45acp cylinder for it |
|
That gun would be a " buy now" situation if I saw one.
Yup, you should get a single action if it is something you are interested in. That gun you refer to is a really nice shooter built on the midsize frame. Bisley grip is what I prefer. |
|
Of course you do! Personally I've never warmed up to the looks of the Bisley grips but some love them, and they are supposed to actually shoot better.

Easily my favorite handgun to shoot is my Uberti old model SAA in 45 Colt.
|
|
I had a Colt SAA. 4-3/4" Bought it because I needed it. Shot it once, and sold it like 15 years later.
Your experience may vary. |
|
Only one I have is a Ruger bearcat. Mostly for fun and teaching kids SA versus DA. I've shot heavier ones, but the typical SA grip style and angle doesn't work for me.

I would, and did, but went with a super blackhawk so I could load stupid hot rounds.

As other have said
Yes! As far as caliber your going to have to decide if you want another caliber in your stable or if you want to keep it consolidated. I went with both personally. |

I've been wanting a Ruger with adj sights in .327, just so I can fill the gap between .22 and .357.
From mousefart wadcutters to Buffalo Bore. Truly a hunting revolver that can put meat on the table. |

If you buy one of the limited run models they’ll generally always increase in value over time. Worst case scenario, if you find something you like better down the road, you’ll probably make a few bucks on it. |
|
Yes, OP you do need one or two. Every red-blooded heterosexual American man needs a single action revolver. I have 3. A Barkeep .22LR/WMR, a Uberti SAA in .45 LC and a Cimarron Pistolero also in .45 LC.

I’d prefer blued but am not averse to stainless |
|
Yes, you do. SA revolvers are a direct link to our “old west” past, even if just a well made replica.
One of these days, I want to get a stainless 6-7” .357 Blackhawk. It just grabs me for some reason. |

Do you NEED one? Probably not. In today’s world there is very little pragmatism in one. HOWEVER. If you WANT one and can afford one them I would heartily recommend owning one. They are a blast to shoot, especially in .45 Colt.

I have been wanting an Uberti or Cimarron in .357/.38 for a long time, but it seems there is always something a little higher priority, so I still haven't pulled the trigger.
|
|
I asked this question not long ago. It was determined that more than one is needed.
