How does anyone live in WA and NOT eat seafood?

I can't even count how many oysters I've eaten in my life. I prefer raw, but won't turn my nose up at pan-fried, grilled, baked, fried in a sandwich however. Oyster dressing at Thanksgiving and Christmas made with stale sourdough bread. Oyster stew. A good Hangtown Fry for breakfast.

For something different, try raw with kimchi instead of any other condiment. Addictive...

Just don't like it .  Hell I don't even like Salmon . I will tolerate it but don't really care for it . If i had my way all the salmon we caught every year would get smoked .. Wife and kids love Seafood , I could care
less about it .
And yeah I have tried Razor Clams . Used to go dig them every year when I was younger . It was fun didn't like eating them .

Didn't know zinc was an aphrodisiac - how much does it take? Do you have to ride the thin edge between leg humping and poisoning yourself?

Cooked, fried etc yes. Even the canned ones on Triscuits.

I love sushi but raw oysters are just nasty.

Yes, occasionally, when the Apalachicola Bay oysters are open for harvest. Prefer raw.

I love them!

FPNI

My favorite is raw on the half shell. Gotta be cold and gotta be midsize or smaller…. I can’t handle the big ones! (That’s what she said….)

Yes. We have several very local companies that provide us with very yummy oysters.
Just a few for reference.

There is an old axiom that if a date likes sliders, you can be sure she likes to swallow. Truth.

I would say so. 212 degrees will cook them.  When I fry them they are done for me when they float. Some people like to fry them more.

When I can  afford them!

They used to be cheap, but  now since the BP oil spill and the Corp of Engineers Mississippi River diversion project, we don't have many oyster beds any more.

Maybe it’s the Russian roulette-like thrill of not knowing if you’re gonna get a boner or violently ill?

Best oysters in the world and I've had them from damn near everywhere.

Sadly at the rate we're going I don't if we'll ever get anymore from Apalach.  DNR/FWC seemingly want the bay locked down forever.
