I’ve been to a couple of Chinese restaurants that had some kind of tiny shrimp with an extremely thin shell that had to have been flash fried or something. There was no batter, head and they’d had the vein taken out. You were supposed to eat the whole thing.
Outside of those, I don’t eat the shell. |

Those are the only folks I've seen eat things like shrimp whole with the tails and fish with the bones in it. I gotta tell you, shrimp tails are mild to me compared to trying to eat fucking fish with bones in it. I really don't know how they can do that. I get a complex about stuck fish bones jabbing me in my throat just thinking about it. |

Jesus, some of the responses.
Is it that big of a deal? Sardines get eaten whole. Lots of places fry the whole damn shrimp. It's kind of funny how you guys are talking about how eating the shell is gross, meanwhile nobody is discussing the fact that shrimp are basically the cockroaches of the sea. Which is great, I think they're fucking delicious. And oh, it's even better when you wrap them in bacon and smoke them. Do what you all want. But some of you need to hike up your skirts a bit. There's a whole nother world out there besides how's they serve the shit at sizzler and red lobster. |
