Absolutely not, and not only that, but I also remove the shrimp turd(s) before I fry them. Once you've pulled a lil fishy dirt snake from the anus of a shrimp you are gonna eat, there is no going back.
BTW, I leave the tail meat on of course, I just take the whole shell off. Well and the poop. |

I can squeeze the tail when I pull it off and get all the meat out with the rest of the shrimp. The tails aren't easy to chew on.
I do eat the fins and tails of trout and bream........ |

My difficult 9 year old who likes to be "different" constantly tries to eat the peanut shell. I think mostly because he is lazy and does not want to peel it.
We had shrimp the other day and he started chewing the tail and I made him stop saying it is weird and nobody does that. |
