No, but when you are at the top, you take care of your workers and the company P&L takes care of you.

We made sure that the employees of both our companies got decent year-end bonuses.

i get an annual bonus in my line of work, usually in mid-February.  It can range from WTF why did they bother to hey that didnt suck.

My annual bonus consists of a 'poke in the eye with a sharp stick'... and not even a 'reach-around'.

We get our longevity and retention bonus right before Black Friday, so we can take advantage of the sales for Christmas gifts.

I’m self employed, but one of the companies I do freelance work for gave me the equivalent of one week rate as a “bonus” even though I’m not an employee. I’ve done work for them for almost 7 years though. I thought it was a nice gesture considering my work for them is just a few months per year total.

No, but the company I work for has been tightening our belt for a few months. That’s a good thing, though.

I work for a tech company, in the healthcare space. I’ve been watching our competitors burn through investment money trying to create “hypergrowth”, while last summer we made the conscious decision to abandon that approach in favor of “sustainability”. If you’re unaware, that’s a corporate/tech startup euphemism for profitability.

We fell behind our peers for a few months in terms of growth in our user base, but now the money is starting to dry up. We implemented a hiring freeze months ago and focused on making do with what we already had in the coffers, and as of today my understanding is that we can continue operations for another two years at our current burn rate. Our competitors are laying people off.

At best, they’re going to have to seek out additional investment and end up with terrible terms relative to pre-2020. More likely there is going to be a series of acquisitions, mergers, and bankruptcies.

I’m 100% OK not getting a Christmas bonus this year, because that’s part of the things my employer is doing to - gasp - try to turn a profit.

Or a gift card from the boss

The last places I worked at at least would give out some small gift for us peons.  I’m sure the superintendents and above got something substantial

Bonuses are gay, unless it's performance, or more like commission. It's a way a company can easily tell you about your compensation, just to take it away later.

I just want a competitive salary.

We got a catered "Holiday lunch" and they handed out hams out of a truck in the parking lot at the end of the shift.

No…… we get a profit sharing disbursement in March……… if you tow the line

We got a Christmas lunch……. I wasn’t there

I don't get a Christmas bonus but I pay one to all of my employees.

I've never not paid one and it's always been at least equivalent to 40 hours of pay for hourly workers.  Salaried varies significantly depending on performance and role in the company.

It's pretty messed up when companies have full time employees that they don't bonus at Christmas.  I'd have to be going broke to cut Christmas Bonuses.

we got told last week the usual bonus gift cards were not coming this year.

But to be fair they have been giving everyone $500/mo. extra for the last 6 months to help cover inflation.

No, but I cash in some vacation, so maybe 10k or so “Pseudo bonus”

I could have worked the holidays and gave myself another 10k,”bonus” but didn't this year.

Usually get one, but not yet this year.

They used to call it a Christmas bonus.   Now it’s called a performance bonus.

Last year we got $2k

We get one that is called a Christmas bonus.  It's more profit sharing than anything, as we won't see them until May or so.  We don't actually see them in hand though as the company dumps them directly in our 401k.  It's a pretty healthy number for most employees with tenure.  New guys still get treated good.

ETA  For Christmas however, I organized a party for this coming Saturday.  We will be paying every employee 12 hours to attend.  Steak dinners for everyone and their SO's, and a free raffle for some goodies.  Not $20 gift cards....we're talking Yeti coolers, grills, really fancy camping chairs and such.  I'm guessing we will have 100% attendance!

New job this year so I'll see how that works. They do some kind of year end bonus but I'm not exactly clear on when that gets figured in.  We do get the week after Christmas off paid which is nice.

Yes, but was $800 less after taxes than last year due to increases in pay this year.
I haven't run the numbers, but I believe I'm still slightly ahead this year vs last.
Not that my pay has kept up with the raping Bidenflation is causing.

Edit: just ran the numbers from what I sorta remember my bonus being last year. Gross pay is up about 7% over the year.

I'm retired so my Christmas "bonus" is my military pension's COLA which looks like 8.7%.

That's about a third of the inflation costs but better than nothing. Party members are receiving substantially more of course, blessings to Dear Leader and Central Planning.

A few times in the past, ranging from $50 to $12,000 (gross) over the years.

At my last job, I gave myself a "bonus" by taking vacation between Christmas and the New Year almost every year, because I usually had a least 4 to 5 weeks of vacation built up.

Current job gave us a nice Christmas party with great food and free booze. I noticed the boss watching a lot of the employees as they loosened up from alcohol consumption. Some were rather entertaining. I drank a beer and my wife and I chatted with the boss's wife, who also drank a beer during our conversation.
