Pouch

I was trying to decide between this one, the HSGI blow out pouch, and the Condor (don't flame me bro, it's a freaking pouch!)

I decided on the Esstac over the HSGI because I like the quick removing feature.  This way I can take it with me wherever I go without having to put everything into a different bag or buy multiple kits.

I have not picked out the med supplies yet.  I am figuring on shears, QuikClot gauze, some Izzy dressings and maybe a chest seal.
Always a chest seal.
I was taught to use the wrapper from the pressure dressing to seal a sucking chest wound.  Of course, the only IFAK we had was the pressure dressing....

Yeah. Considering his surgical history, I think checking to see if there was soft tissue damage was appropriate. But what do I know?
The medical field is really confusing to me.
He's had 3 surgeries on the tendons and ligaments in that ankle, which means those tendons and ligaments are more fragile to stress like he'd sustain in a sprain, making them more likely to snap than stretch. They did x-rays, which wouldn't show injury to tendons or ligaments, and since there wasn't a fracture, they just called it a sprain without further investigation. Stupidheads.

Probably just strap it to the side.

We were taught to use the pressure dressing or a cravat and a stick for out TQ's.

We switched over to K-cups about 6 months ago. Wife and I like it.
So much waste.
I debated this when we moved into k-cup genre. While it seems that way based on front-end cost, I'm not so sure we didn't waste enough by only drinking partial pots. That, and I've grown to prefer the fresh cup on demand
