I do especially when it is cold. I was on a golf trip this summer and my buddies thought it was strange that I do that. My wife does the same and I am wondering if that is normal.

Never!

But I have a dog who has to put his head under something sleep. The wife occasionally lets him in our bed, and he usually gets under the covers and works his way down to the foot of the bed. He loves being completely covered.

I take Metformin, am lactose intolerant and try to eat healthy (lots of greens and beans).  Head stays out of the covers!

So you give yourself covered wagons?  No thanks.

No way, I feel like I'm not getting enough oxygen after a short time.

No, but I sleep with my head under the pillow.

I haven't always done this.  I blame it on some kind of monkey brain instinct from having my kids throw things at my face while I've taken a nap, or I'm just going retarded.

Always referred to it as a Dutch oven.  Covered wagon is funny too though.

Yep. I make a little hole for my nose. I have a hard time sleeping uncovered unless I'm absolutely exhausted or intoxicated.

I need fresh air.

Only when I fart…makes enjoying the essence of my bowels even better!

That seems weird to me but I'm normal.

My CPAP lets me sleep like that or with my head under the pillow. I can't do it without the fresh air supply though, feel like I'm going to die

About up to my eyes. I also cocoon myself in the sheets and assume the fetal position.

I have to have the blanket at least over my ear

That’s exactly what I feel like with my head covered. I feel like I’m suffocating.

I will just pull it up to my face.

When I subconsciously hear the dog climbing the stairs, I do yank the sheet over my head.

If I don't, I'm going to feel a cold snout in a few moments.

Sometimes.  Normally up to my neck.  I'll often wake up with pillows on my head.  Hell, once in high school I fell asleep with my head on the desk and woke up with a hook over my head.

Nope. Can't sleep with hot breath in my face.

Don't think I have used a blanket in 20 years. Usually just 1 bed sheet, if that.

No.

I sometimes have a pillow on my head, Scalia-style.

I think the desire to be completely covered is probably an evolutionary instinct.

That’s the advantage of a CPAP.

I’m the exact opposite..
I occasionally put the blanket over the head/face but one ear must stay out for situation awareness

I attributed my habit to "feeling like I'm safe and protected in the womb."

I don't even sleep with a blanket unless it's really cold. I run on the hot side so in the summer I sleep on top of the bed.

Not since a hunting trip and sleeping in a tent when it got down to 20 degrees or so.
(A small throw blanket my wife stuffed into my sleeping bag, actually. She is a smart girl.)

No, but my wife has straddled me and forced a pillow over my face while I was sleeping on numerous occasions.
