I'm not suggesting that it can't be mitigated (except NSFS which is different), it's something that you have to be aware of.

At least that's what they taught us.

RRPRs aren’t cleared for overhead fire.  Not sure about service rockets but I imagine the same applies.

Off the top of my head, I’m not aware of any 155mm arty projos that aren’t, but I’ve yet to encounter anything other than HE, illum, PGK (I think, since the NETT team was here) and inerts.  

The USMC 120mm mortar wasn’t cleared for overhead fire, but they’re gone.
