Should be fun. I can feel the 1500 miles of swaying on the highway from here.

(I too own a Jeep)

Went from Dallas to Moab a few years ago in my lifted jk in December. That was awesome.

The Currie Anti-rock sway bar really tightens up the steering! (That's sarcasm)

I'd love to do that someday but I don't think my 2005 Rubicon would make the trip from PA, lol.

I like your Jeep!  One of the next upgrades I want to do is to beef up my steering.  How do you like your setup?

I drove a lifted 1978 CJ5 with 35's from Kansas to Nothern Michigan after I got out of the Army.

Fuck.

That.

Wasn't very looking forward to driving my LJ out there and never did. My JKU did well though.

LJ is best TJ.

Have fun! I'm hoping to get my 97 TJ out there one day. I'm in the Durango area with my 4Runner, but the TJ is my real baby.

Always wanted to do that when I had a Jeep. Took it several places but never made it to Moab because of a distance even beyond yours. Have fun and remember to keep the wheels pointed towards the ground.

I don't love it. It came with the axle.

Way stronger than stock though.

I will replace it with the Currie set up when funds allow.

I want to do Moab soon.

Drove 900 miles in my 2017 JKUR to wheel in the San Juan's of Colorado this summer. Epic.

Oooof.  I feel your pain.  Drove a CJ5 with broken exhaust manifold from CO to Chicago one time.  Sold it when I got there.

We aren't hardcore 4x4ers, so the Lexus LX with heated/cooled seats, radar cruise, adjustable suspension is our choice to drive to Moab.  Slap on a set of BFGs and do some mild trails and call it good!

Looking fwd to the pics.

I used to do ~2500 miles at least once a year in my Jeep; drive to NY and back from MN.

The 3rd year I finally broke down and wore earplugs for the whole trip...holy shit was that a massive quality of life improvement.

Bring earpro.

Lots of great trails around Moab. I liked the Shaffer Switch backs and the trails West of Moab as well as north east of Moab in the hills.

Happy trails !

If you buy the currie steering, get it from savvy and get the aluminum tie rod upgrade.

Some of y’all haven’t driven a 1st gen Isuzu Trooper from central FL through the Big Bend Ranch State Park, and it shows.

The Fuckup Fairy can’t dish out much that can’t be handled with a rented tow dolly & truck.

Drive it!

If you can’t trust it on the interstate, your rig isn’t complete.

My wife and I drove a 2wd Lexus RX350 or to Moab and surrounding areas a few weeks back. I saw the Shafer switchbacks, did a little reading and talked my wife into going for a ride. We did the 30+ miles of gravel on Shafer Trail and Potash Road back to Moab from Canyonlands in the RX. I can't say that I would recommend it in a 2WD with street tires, but it was amazing. I know the real off-roaders consider this a beginner trail, but it's got me thinking about a future dual sport bike adventure out to Moab, and perhaps future Jeep purchase or rentals.

The White Rim Canyon road in Canyondlands looks amazing, but that doesn't sound like a good idea without 4x4, low gears, recovery equipment, camping gear, etc.

Wife and I just did a 3000 mile trip in our Gladiator, ear plugs help with the highway speed wind noise

I miss my old square body cherokee.   I miss going off into the mountains and woods in that thing.   Some of the beat times in my life were 4 wheeling and camping.    Been all over California and Colorado with it.   Never made it to Utah.
