So, how many times did you smash your head before you put that pipe insulation on the high-lift?

Are you running the state highways/US highways instead of the interstates?

Made it to Nebraska. Jeep was a handful running 75mph.

Here's my camp.

A little late now, but what's you caster angle set to?

My 2D JK was a handful at 65mph from the factory and scary after lifting.

Bought some longer, lower front LCA arms.
And adjusted the caster out to about 6*
Until the front driveshaft started to make noise, I backed the adjusters off 1/2 a turn and tightened it down.
After that,  I could do 85mph with one finger.

If you can get a permit Elephant Hill with camping at Devils Kitchen is amazing. Was the highlight of our trip there a couple of years ago.

Also,  breakfast at Moab Diner!

Stop by my place in western Colorado and pick me up. Moab is my happy place.
Or just bring me a Milts burger on your way back through.

If you don't have one already, be sure to buy Guide to Moab, UT Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails  by Charles A. Wells.   It has GPS and Topo maps, trail ratings, trail times, scenic overlooks, and an equipment checklist.  The Moab Information Center in the middle of town has them.

There are trails from bumpy gravel, to 10 miles takes two whole days.

I have driven 1280 miles out and 1280 miles back five times, and then drove the Jeep to work on Monday.    Finesse and good judgment are key to a safe return.

Bought the book.

Did Hell's revenge today.

A couple of the guys are pretty new to this and were a little freaked out.

We didn't do any of the optional stuff because we all have to drive back to indiana.

No idea.  I guess dog turds are super toxic to the environment but coyote turds aren't.  Or something.

I have a good bit of 4x4 experience, and have done Hell's Revenge more than once, and it still freaks me out.

Jeep is back home. One hell of a trip. Brought some Moab dirt home with me. Did seven trails in three days. Green, blue, and red. I will go back some day. Indiana signal group decal survived desert testing.

Didn't see this until now. I wheel Moab every year. For an LJ on 35's you could have done harder trails.

Glad you enjoyed it.

For sure. We had a group of 8 in 4 vehicles. Experience level varied wildly. I didn't mind the easy stuff. But would of liked to do a couple more red trails.

Good to hear you had fun and arrived home in one piece.

I would like to retire near Moab and hire on as a Jeep tour driver.
