Starting a new job next week...will be making almost twice what I was making.
I reaaaaally want to save up for a drone outfitted with thermal. |
|
Just got my FAA Part 107 airman's certificate a couple of months back.
I'm legal! ETA: No way in hell that video was shot within LOS, or within FAA regs. |
|
Like to see the path of the tracks to figure out what was up with that 180* turn around.

Drones are so awesome ! I remember seeing a drone video, some guy in London starts it late at night, on a cold foggy night. The drone starts going out of his apt window and quietly makes its way through the darkest, foggiest London alleys late at night. Like a ghost in the night. It was soo cool.

Just think, that one train has more mil equipment than most countries have total.

I didn't see anything I wanted to paint black, but I sure did see some vehicles I wouldn't mind having...

Makes me want to be a model RRer and have military trains - with P-47s overhead.

Is that a Nazi oppression train heading for the Mexican border? I'm feeling some tingling in muh Nationalist jumblees.

I see those trains loading up all the time base I work at not far from where that video was shot.

In that case, you must use it to hunt for Sasquatch. View Quote My rationale is that it would be pretty useful to survey your immediate vicinity in real-time and locate people, animals, etc. If you've got a way to charge it on the go and switch out batteries quickly, I could see it being useful in the aftermath of hurricanes and disasters. |

Quoted: Tehachapi pass? Looks too green for Mojave area though View Quote It does turn green for a month out of the year. I am not a huge fan of flying tripods. Not a ton of skill involved. If I was in that location I would have Nurked the hell out of that train/bridge spot with some freestyle flying. One pack track freeroam with my racing drone about 30min west of tehachapi No train. When they are going up hill towards Tehachapi they are moving way too slow. Have followed a train through the tunnel and it is boring as hell because my drones fly too fast to maintain a good viewing angle. |
