Me and my 11 year old boy along with some friends completed a 10 mile long grueling hike through the snow covered mountains to reach a pit we had heard about. Awesome cave with lots of passage. Was blowing steam out the entrance which is in a 15' deep sink that launches you into a 120' drop.

Do you have to climb up a 120' rope to get out or does someone up top pull you back up? |

Yes, you ascend up the rope you dropped in on and it is a tiring climb using a combination of hand and chest ascenders to slowly pull yourself up about a foot at a time. He's using the blue hand ascender to pull himself up the line while simultaneously stepping up into his foot sling attached to the hand ascender. On his chest is an auto-locking chest ascender that holds him in place while he slides the hand ascender up again. |
