Have the powers & principalities been doing everything possible to weaken America culturally, economically and militarily? Could the timeline to diminish and transform nation-states like America, China and Russia be sped up if there was a world war pitting America against both Russia and China? Such a world war could go nuclear and kill a third of mankind, resulting in the survivors screaming "this must never happen again" and thus create the conditions needed to finally transform the world into a NWO and a one-world gov't, that will never again fight itself. The globalist dream of a one-world politic, one-world religion and one-world military would be achieved. View Quote (reusing and updating a prior debunking of petrodollars. I saved it because arf doomers seem to love the concept) the petrodollar concept is antiquated. IMO it peaked around 1979. The total market for oil has not kept up with the overall US economy. 1979 - oil averaged about $20 per barrel (very volatile year), and global production 24.088 billion barrels, or $481.76 billion dollars. global production source (in tons. x7.46 to get barrels) US economy was 2.627 trillion. Total global crude oil was equal to 18.3% of the US GDP 2023 - Oil averaged $77.64 per barrel, global production of 37 billion barrels, or $2.87 trillion dollars. oil production source US 2023 GDP was 27.36 trillion. Total global crude oil is equal to 10.4% of the US GDP. OK, so the US economy has grown faster than the oil market. What of it? The devil is in the details. In 1979 imported 2.379 billion barrels of oil. Which using that $20 price, is $47.58 billion dollars, or 1.8% of our GDP. For 2023, we imported 2.4 billion barrels. Using that $77 price, is $184 billion dollars, or 0.6% of our GDP. This is ignoring the fact that we are a net exporter of refined petroleum products, which weakens the balance of trade argument of the petrodollar further. On top of that, we are a huge player in terms of oil infrastructure and extraction knowledge. Foreign oil fields are kept running with a lot of US based equipment and expertise. We are not a powerless price taker in the oil market, we are the most powerful player in that market. |

It is a practice intended to give the statements or organizations credibility by withholding information about the source's financial backers. The implication behind the use of the term is that instead of a "true" or "natural" grassroots effort behind the activity in question, there is a "fake" or "artificial" appearance of support. View Quote I am one guy who posts these things because, as I have said a few times, I know two Ukrainian families directly affected by this war, specifically, my first and second Russian teachers are Ukrainian, and I also can see how so many of Russia’s actions mirror the worst things the Soviet Union did during Stalin’s time, like taking grain from people which caused the Holodomor, or the rape and killing of civilians in Germany, mostly, during the second world war, and later during the current war in places like Bucha and Hostomel. Don’t forget the deportations that Russia has been engaging in recently either. If you know the history of the Soviet Union, you will see Russia has been doing these things on a smaller, often times much smaller scale. I don’t hate all Russians, but their government has been doing this. Like in Nazi Germany, there are some still in the country who don’t support this or are at least are indifferent, but they live in a society where criticism of the war, even perceived criticism in passing conversation, can result in one being imprisoned for several years. |

Even if every nation in Europe was spending it's entire GDP on defense I don't think it would matter at this point due to their severe decline in demographics. The immigrants they've flooded into Europe are next to worthless when it comes to military service. It will be very interesting to see if any significant percentage of immigrants even comply with conscription orders. I doubt it though. Europe doesn't have the man power or the culture to fight a conventional war with a near peer.
The days of the West deploying massive conventional militaries is over. The USA and Europe need to move to a series of space based kinetic energy weapons combined with expeditionary forces supplemented by autonomous systems and a more robust missile defense shield. The sooner we realize that, the better. |

The sum of all Saudi exports (oil and everything else) in 2022 was $362 billion. - which is about 1.3% the size of the US economy. It's simply not remotely big enough to have the economic might that many here wish to attribute to the concept. Not to mention the fact that the US is now the swing producer and the biggest player in oil. OPEC tried to break US shale producers a few years back by flooding the market, and ended up having to waive the white flag themselves. |

Just increase U.S., Saudi, and Venezuelan oil production thereby lowering the price of a barrel of oil to pre 2020 levels. Joe Biden pissed off the Saudi Crown Prince when he took office, U.S. State Department has been unable to repair the damage done. Whatever the U.S. is hoping to accomplish regarding Venezuela is just not working and frankly we need their oil, an olive branch should be extended to Venezuela to get oil production there back up. We also need oil production in the USA, Canada, and Mexico increased significantly. If you look at Russian defense spending it nose dived under Trump due to the low cost of oil. If they were serious about economically harming the Russians that's exactly what they would do, but they really don't care. The point of this conflict isn't to defeat Russia it is to have a forever war that allow the military industrial complex to line its pockets and western politicians to acquire greater power/authority. The outcome is something that the west could care less about. |
