Saw this linked on my local news website.  Usually, you see this going the other way.  Good for her...hopefully she can stay clean.

That is fucking awesome.

I’ve seen it happen, when a life you think is gone forever somehow turns 180 degrees and somehow makes you proud. It’s rare, but it’s one of the most amazing things I’ve ever witnessed

As she isn't an aspiring rapper, no one will care.

That said, good for her.

No thanks.  Just think of how many times she gave up that coochie for $5 of Meth?

There are consequences for all actions, some good, some bad.  Hopefully the memories she has of the past will continue to encourage her to continue her new path in life.

tattoo, you can see it in the booking photo also.  Also on wrists.  It will hurt her chances of employment, but hard work can overcome that flaw.

The only family she had was a father in prison and a drug dealer mom who got her using at six years old.  Normally I would agree but this girl really had no chance.

From the article:

“She was born in Tacoma. 1972. She was one of seven children born to a mother who was a drug addict and a drug dealer and who suffered from mental illness.

Her father was sent to prison when she was four for a string of armed robberies.

Her mother introduced her to marijuana at the age of six.

She got her using meth at age 12.

By 14 she was smoking crack.

At 16 she was raped by a man who bought drugs from her mother.”

Nope you will always be a meth addict you just need to learn to live with that fact. I have seen people stay off permanently, but i have seen people stay off for 10-15 years, then one bad day, and they back doing Meth and there lives are destroyed.

When it's a kid that has a normal childhood and chooses that lifestyle I am inclined to agree, but either you're being intentionally obtuse or are heartless to not see how a child encouraged to use drugs at an early age by the parent(s) never really had a chance. For her later to pull herself out of that mess is worthy of celebration.

Did you read the article? She appears to oppose the current paradigm of just ignoring the problem, and  support actually holding people accountable for their criminal behavior.
