Irrespective of car, that particular drive in Autumn is one of the prettiest in the west.

I usually kept 2.76 gears in it, so it wasn't fast off the line.  It would do 130-135 all day long though.  I ran it in open road events in Nevada, typically, in the 120 class.  Averaging 120 mph over 90 to 120 miles of two-lane highway in the middle of nowhere.

Had an 89 Corvette.  The Challenger was quicker.  Have a 2013 Charger R/T.  I've never even pushed it much past 100.

2021 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye.
Catastrophic amount of power.
Hard to believe anyone can just go into a dealer and buy one of these beasts.
If I had this car when I was 16 I'd be dead.

My wife's Acadia.
Capable of mid-14's quarter mile, for some reason.
It's even faster than my RX7

2014 BMW M760 Alpina. Twin turbo V8. I had to replace a single turbo...$14K. The water pump...almost $7k. But it was a hell of a car.

fastest or quickest? there is a difference. also track or street? I've had untouchable street cars, that weren't any better on a prepped surface, they just dead hooked anywhere.

Same, but mine’s a 2016.

But…this one’s pretty quick as well.

Fastest was my 1991 Callaway Aerobody ZR-1, with Doug Rippie Motorsport LT5. 195mph+ on the Loneliest Road in America, in 2002

Quickest four wheeler was my Mark Williams Econorail, with 355" small block, that went 8.48 @ 160+, in the early 1990's

Quickest two wheeler was my IDBA A/FB Funnybike turbo/nitrous alky Honda that went 7.80's @ 179mph, in 1990

Not a car guy-they are slow and lean the wrong way in corners….

But of the bikes I have owned, my R1M is fastest in a straight line once you get it spinning, but my EBR1190RS Carbon is the fastest from point A to point B by miles.

It really is.  I did it last year with the PCA Rocky Mountain Chapter.  They do a yearly drive from Fort Collins, CO up to Saratoga, WY to stay at the hot springs, then over the Snowy Mountains to Laramie.  Was a really good tour.

My 05 Chrysler 300C.  5.7 hemi with a few mods.  Fastest I had it goin was around 145 with some peddle left.  Had a 72 Dodge Charger that I got pulled over for 138 in a 55.  Luckily the trooper took pity on me and wrote the ticket for 83mph.  They towed your car for more than 30 over.

I get what you're saying. I've won many a street race with a slower car.

And lets cut the semantics. I outlined that in the OP. Straight line acceleration is what I said. Thats not top speed or time around a track.

Right after highschool I had an '86 Supra non-turbo. I had it up to 140 in Minecraft. I let off when the front end started getting light.

It's one I currently own, a '19 M5 competition which is supposed to be capable of a 10.8 quarter mile.
Both my 535 and Z3 are 14.1 according to the automotive press.
All three are choked to 156 mph top speed, not sure what they'd be capable of w/o the limiter.

I just dawdle around in them like an old man out for a Sunday drive.

My 1969 Dodge Charger R/T was scary. It easily went beyond the 150 mph speedometer (which may not have been calibrated - it didn't *feel* that fast) with the 440 magnum, but it handled like a car from that era. Spongy and long.

My daily driver Cadillac ATS premium launches from a standstill like no one's business, though.

My '70 LS6 454 Chevelle. But definitely straight line only. My '69 Z28 wasn't as fast, but handled a whole lot better.
