Toyota Starlet.
Only car I've ever had. All other rides have been a pickup truck. |

2015 Dodge Challenger 392 SRT
Loved that car. Wasn’t my daily driver but always put a smile on my face whenever I hit the start button….. then we had a my son. I miss that car. |

1972 Cutlass, No idea other than I passed my cousin with mine pegged at 120 and he said his was pegged at 140(Gran Torino) a couple seconds later I did an end for end and side to side multiple times as that dang road had a freakin curve into it I forgot about. I don't how I survived and glad all of our drunk friends knew better than to ride with me, glad for that one as I would've killed someone.
1981 it was. |
|
Every vehicle I've owned has been about the same---in the vicinity of 1000 miles an hour, give or take a bit. (As long as I'm driving East, anyway.)

Had a mid 90’s Volvo 740 turbo with a failed waste gate. Holy shit was that fast until I got it fixed.
Working car would be a c63 amg that I’ve seen someone else have, it had the performance package which I doubt added much on paper |
|
Not a car but my ‘22 Triumph Rocket 3 GT does a 2.73 0-60 That is damn quick and a blast to drive.

Quoted: For this particular exercise I'm referring to straight-line acceleration. Mine was a '96 Z28. Went high 11's at around 120. Laughable nowadays but respectable 20yrs ago for a DD. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/524356/20230801_215756_jpg-2905233.JPG View Quote Check out that frame twist - I'm surprised the windows didn't pop out! My fastest car was an '83 Mustang GT, which wasn't really all that fast by today's standards, or by 1983's standards. It was part of the beginning of the resurgence of factory performance cars though. After that POS, I swore off Ford and cars, and switched to 4x4 trucks and SUV's and never looked back - not much in the speed department there. |

Foxbody with a roots blown 331. The chassis was a 7 second car I turned from race car to street car. Like you slow for today but in street trim easy low 11's.

2007 Corvette. Modded it myself. I've personally had it to 160, I ran out of balls and let off the go pedal.

My 2017 Fusion Sport.
Ran low 13's in the 106/107 mph range on a number of occasions. Most guys with similar mods (IC & tune) were seeing high 12's, and were seeing better 60' times than I was. I've been tempted to buy a 3.0 from a wrecked MKZ and swap it in, but the car is my daily driver and has 164k on it, so I'm not sure it's really worth it. But I'm also a bit concerned about what I'll find when I pull things apart to replace head gaskets after the stop leak no longer keeps the problem at bay. |
|
Straight line, 2004 Subaru Forester XT turbo. 0-60 in 5.3 seconds
Curves, 1994 Mazda Miata. Low HP and torque but you don't have to slow down much for the curves. Last autocross I was 19th fastest out of 148 cars on handicap. 1 second faster actual time than a very experienced friend in a Z06. |

2018 m4 coupe.
i loved that car. launch control was also fun…..often |

Quoted: That was my first response too. Fastest I've ever driven a car. 2016 Hellcat - 191mph https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/337680/IMG_0134_jpeg-2905350.JPG Fastest I've been in the current "topspeedwagen" 2018 GT3 182mph https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/337680/IMG_1587_jpeg-2905351.JPG Quickest? I'm still working on it. It's a handful. 1970 Camaro https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/337680/IMG_3295_jpeg-2905352.JPG View Quote A drag car? Say it isn't so! Lookin' good Joe. How's the Z28 coming? Are you looking to run it at HMP? The only 1/4 mile left in the area is Evadale & Pine Valley. Either is a lot of fun, they have a very well run bracket series at PV. I was at Evadale racing my son last Saturday. His little 'Lac has opened my eyes some. Attached File I have about a year left with this and I'm moving on to something FI, about as quick, and more comfortable/street friendly. I just ordered what will be my last pair of drag radials for this car yesterday, but I still have a couple things I'm going to try to get a little quicker in it before it goes. Quoted: Owned? 1990 Suzuki GSX-R 1100. Stupid fast. Me and my GF on straightaways at 140 no issues. In Minecraft, of course… Driven? 2016 Huracan. Stupid fast performance car. Favorite? 1989 Bentley Turbo R. Just amazing. Such a great vehicle. I’ve also driven an ‘84 Supra Turbo (my Dad’s), an 88 944 Turbo, and a 91 Testarossa. Funny thing was, the Ferrari and Bentley were the same day. Down from Hollywood Hills, into BH. Did the Rodeo drag. Ferrari got noticed. Bentley got attention… Yeah, class and money. Know your audience. View Quote I've seen a couple of references to this. What do you mean 'in Minecraft'? |

1986 IROC Z28, purchased new. Summer of '87 tore out the motor, transmission, and rear end. Replaced with a balanced and blueprinted Pontiac 400 bored 60 over, Milled Chevy 350 heads and domed pistons brought compression to 10.5 to 1. Edelbrock Tourquer-II single plane intake manifold, Holley 1150 dominator carb, crane .512/292° cam, all the goodies in the valve system. Beefed up turbo 400 tranny with a manual valve body and a 2500 rpm converter, hooked to a 12 bolt RE with a 4.10 ratio. Custom fabbed straight duals fed through glass packs topped it off. I never ran at a the track as I never intended to so, I built it simply for illegal street racing. LOL! I don't know exact specs, but I could smoke a 1987 Buick Grand National stoplight to stoplight by multiple car lengths.
