Not to get sidetracked, but I once asked my attorney about it. He said with the domestics it is usually to protect the lawyers from the pissed off person on the other side. The times I have been in general(?) court where they are going through things and there are a bunch of different cases, they separate the lawyers from the crowd, stick them in the jury box. Apparently people are just not fond of lawyers. |
