I need to buy one.
Any ideas and photos will be appreciated. |

My Buckmark was a great shooter, but ammo picky.
I have a P22 that is a riot and eats anything. The SR22 wasn't around yet when I bought it, so I would probably go with that one now if I had to replace it. |

The P22 is one of, if not the BIGGEST piece of junk in existence. So whatever you do, don't go that route. They are worse than a jennings by a large margin. If someone recommends a P22, don't listen to a single word that they say in the future.

I think they are fun little things. and it will eat golden bullets all day long. |

Walther makes some damn fine pistols, but the P22 ain't one of them and they would be smart to make the manufacturer remove their name/licensing. |

I love my Ruger Mk II standard model. It's reliable, accurate and durable.
My wife loves her Walther P22...it's reliable and semi-accurate...don't know about durability as she's only shot about 2,000 through it in past 3 years. It fits her small hand nicely and trigger reach is perfect. She prefers it over the Ruger Mk II because as it's lighter weight. |

Ruger 22/45 Lite, I've owned MKI's, MKII's that were ammo picky, but the 22/45 I have now eats everything.

I like my 10 yr old Ruger Mark III 5 1/2 bull barrel. Today I would consider the threaded barrel Ruger Mark IV once Ruger fixes their safety recall problem.

I dub you a 1%er, because 99% of people, including myself and EVERYONE I know that has had one, has not had the same experience. Calling a P22 FUCKING JUNK is an understatement. View Quote I like my M&P22 compact the best when I am just messing around. |

Been digging this one so far. Not a ton of rounds through it so far, but at least I'm not afraid of taking it apart and cleaning it!

I own a Ruger Mk II and a High Standard. I would have liked one of the older Smiths or Colt options, but it is what it is.
If you're looking for a reasonably priced current production gun the Rugers are a good place to start. Get one with a bull barrel. |

Hammerli of some sort. X-esse View Quote The Xesse is a tricked out version of the Trailside, but costs significantly more. They are an excellent choice if within your budget. My 6" Trailside target model. Attached File Even with the flier, the spread at 25m is only 0.6". Without the flier, it's under 0.25". |

Woodsman if you have the coin, if not I would look hard at the tiger mark4 line or the S&W offerings
