Stop fucking with my childhood memories! Whatever happened to picking an actor based on the role he/she is to play? Most of the actors aside from Jeff Goldbloom are good actors, but not in the rolls they are cast in. Can they not find an appropriate person to fit the role that was written 40 years ago?

Also I felt the over use of humor in this one was due to the weakness of the actual marvel story. So it supplemented an already weak plot making the whole thing entertaining.

it's been happening for years or did you believe all those indians in westerns were played by actual natives.

I think what many have a problem with in this thread is that OP zeroed in on Non-white people playing the supposedly white roles. Roles that really don't have much in the way of historical context as they are from a comic book. Ya Norse mythology but this obviously isn't a faithful representation of that.

Thor Ragnarok had many problems as a movie race wasn't one of them.

Lots of humor in a serous story distractingly so.

The movie spent a lot of time re positioning characters for the next movie.

Cate Blanchett made a hot villain but not exactly a good one.

Things done for sake of comics didn't make a lot of sense otherwise.

There was no point to hulk being there at all.

I could go on. but I did enjoy the movie as a whole. It wasn't perfect but I was thoroughly entertained. A mixed race Valkyrie really didn't hurt the movie.

Plus their biggest thing is VIbranium, which is completely made up metal that far surpasses anything else. It's part of why they are so advanced.
