1/32 Tamiya Corsair nearing completion.
Best kit I’ve ever built. Their engineering puts others to shame.

not built or painted anything in like 2 decades. I have the refit someone asked me to build for one of their church members.     They did not feel comfortable and asked me.  gonna give it a shot.     luckily its not a lot of parts but lots of decals.

Nice, "Patience"  [A F105G] is stashed in Paul Allens museum up here, not sure of the disposition of it anymore.

The scale really gives you an appreciation of the airmanship on that mission!
That carrier deck looks tiny compared to the Mitchells.
Great job.

The hardest part were the decals on the B-25s but it was a lot of fun building it, I always admired the volunteers that signed up for that mission.

It's a mongrel. Tamiya lower hull and running gear, Taigen upper hull, 2 aftermarket turrets, and a shedload of aftermarket bits from Schumo, Aber, and 3D printed stuff.

Well, crap. Looking at the pics, I realized I missed something. I'm going for a screen accurate Fury, and it was a M4A2E8, a diesel powered tank, but was portraying a M4A3E8 gasoline powered tank, with the engine noise replaced. All the 1/16 Shermans available, except for the Tamiya, are M4A3s. If you want a different model,  you have to buy a conversion kit, or scratch it.  I replaced the exhaust and the exhaust diffuser with the A2 versions, but most importantly, because it's the most visible difference between Sherman variants, completely forgot about the engine deck.

I think maybe I thought the stowage would hide it, which it won't.

ETA:
Started another build thread for it, since it's been so long since I worked on it that my original fell into the archives years ago.

Just wrapped up this Hasegawa F-86F in 1/48.  It’s not perfect by any means but it’s the first aircraft model I’ve finished in several years.  I decided to take a break from HO trains for a bit and do some aircraft modeling.

Nice. 350th? Last time I built a Typhoon was before anyone knew what the stern actually looked like, so all the kits had conventionalpropellers. I built I don't know how many of the Red October kits and a couple of the DML 1/350s.

Thx..yup 1/350th. Hobbyboss. Normally HB is the last manufacturer I look at...but they have been getting better in the design of their kits.

that is a nice kit, a little more small parts than the usual Tamiya. Very satisfied with the outcome. Your rendition is awesome as well.
Oh, I see you used a different Polish turret option. I used option "D"

Thank you yes I went with that option. You're right it is a great kit. The first one I built I did Russian. Then I wanted to do a Polish one.

You did a great job on yours too!

I'm finally getting around to filling a gap that I had in my armored models and that was lack of Russian or Soviet vehicles
