he didn't exactly take great care of the country when it was his to take care of

Terrible president until the shit show we have now, good man, did a lot for humanity after leaving office.
Prayers with him and his family |

Just yesterday, the SecNav renamed a building at Naval Academy after Carter. They had to make an exception to the policy of only naming buildings after deceased people. Bad omen, I guess, or the SecNav knew about Carter's condition and hastened the renaming so Carter would live to hear about it.

My grandfather helped run his campaign for the 1976 election in a small way.
He voted for Reagan in 1980 |

I may not agree with his politics, but I think he’s a really good Christian. The man has done good and lead Sunday Bible study for years.
Well done, good and faithful servant! Matthew 25:2 |

My dad hated him. I do like his USA better than FJB's abortion of a country.
98, it's time to go home. Dude live a much better life than almost the entirety of humanity |

He lived long enough to say he will be the 3rd worst president…Obama and potato head were like hold my beer.l.

Quoted: You serious Clark? Carter was not a good president, but the worst? Come on man. I think as a person JC is admirable, he did try his best to do good. View Quote Who was worse? Do nothing Obama was all talk. Biden is a feeble infirm but hasn't yet totally diminished the US internationally like Carter vis a vis Iran. Who was worse? |

Wasnt a strong leader but didnt overtly screw much either. Pretty much just sat the chair.
Politics aside, seemed to be a good and genuine man. May he go peacefully. |

I wonder if mysterious envelopes will be handed out at his funeral causing looks of shock on the faces of the elite that open them.

Carter was a shitty president but he honestly loved the country and did what he could for it. He helped turn the tide to end Jim Crow bigotry as a member of the New South coalition and he did everything he could for our people in Iran, including Operation Eagle Claw. He served in the Navy, worked as a farmer, and cared for folks.
The biggest low point in my opinion of him is his relationship with Fidel Castro and giving away the US Panama Canal Zone. |
|
Well at least he was elected in 1976 as opposed to being installed like a toilet like Potato in 2020.

Ten years ago I would have said something different. Now, I’ll just say goodbye.

was the portrayal of him by the main stream media good, bad, or even correct back in the day?
nobody knows him, and the only thing we know about him is what the main stream media says. and they are known liars. |

At some point its like arguing about about who is the tallest midget. |

Carter was faced with some difficult challenges as President and I did not agree with many of the decisions he made. However, a Christian gentleman.

Seems like he dodged a bullet to live this long, seeing that just about everyone else in his family died of pancreatic cancer in their 50s.

First of the Leftist-Globalist Presidents.
Weakened America from it’s already weakened Post-Viet Nam state…intentionally, IMO. Panama Canal Department of Education Energy Policy Economic Policy Iran Weakness towards the Soviets Military in shambles I don’t believe he was a good person. I believe it was an act like showing up in the Oval Office at 0600 every morning then napping for a couple hours. Or, carrying his own (empty) luggage for show. |

Quoted: Terrible President but not a bad guy View Quote I agree, well put. Didn't vote for him but did respect him. He took a lot of abuse over the hostages and unknown to everyone a massive rescue operation was planned and executed but ended horrifically in the desert before it could be completed. He addressed the nation when that happened and I felt bad for him that it failed but he took ownership. I wish him well. |
