Contemplating one.....can't decide....
|
|
Finished out a P80 G21 a few months ago. Loving the .45
Been thinking of doing a G20 as I have a bunch of 10mm ammo and a hell of a lot of 10mm brass I got dirt cheap. Was thinking of doing a 10mm AR. But just haven't had time to research the ins and outs of a 10mm AR yet. |
|
The P80 PF45 with G20 slide+bbl is (for me) a much, much better to shooter compared to a g20 or g40.
I carry the PF45 in the woods everywhere I go. About to go into the wilderness tomorrow for a week with it strapped to my chest. |
|
My place in VA is covered with black bear and they get a little extra friendly sometimes. Been thinking of upgrading my woods gun to 10mm and have thought about the G20 as well.

I have all three 10mm Glocks. The G40 is by far the most funest of the trio. Or also, look at the M&P 10mm No, don’t look at the M&P models. Too many problematic reports. Majorly avoid. You can thank me later. |

I carried a G20 on patrol for years, also competed in USPSA. Awesome gun. Do it.
|
|
Had a G29 for a while. Liked it, snappy little feller.
I think the G20 would be about perfect. But then again, there’s the M&P 2.0 10… Looks pretty inviting. |
|
Also have a 20 and a 29. Highly recommend either. Or in GD fashion both of them.
|
|
I’ve had mine for about 12 yrs and it’s 1 of two of my favorite handguns.
The other is an HK USP Tactical .45. The HK is more accurate but the 20 has some balls… You can use regular shooting ammo in it but make sure you get some Underwood ammo for some serious punch. |

I just bought one yesterday (ordered it, don't have it yet).
Why did I buy a Glock 20 Gen 5 10mm 15-round MOS? 1) Its a Glock 2) Gen 5 3) 10mm 4) 15-round 5) MOS I've been hemming and hawing on this for weeks.... the mental trick that I finally used to fo......"Can I imagine a scenario where I would ever regret buying this?". No |

It has been back at Glock since last Tuesday. Still don't know what the issue is. |

I can’t decide if I want to get my G20.4 milled or just buy a 20.5 MOS to compliment the gen 4.
Attached File Love this gun. Btw if you have a high grip and like to shoot really heavy hand loads get some mag shims from 460 Rowland. I used to have an issue wearing out mags quickly and thus dropping mags when firing and the shims (or gorilla tape to perform the same function) cured the issue. The magwell in Glocks is really generous and these tighten it up and cause the mag release to have greater purchase on the mag. |

I'd advise anyone considering a 10mm that also owns a .45 to consider it if it is a good fit for your sidearm of choice. |

A G29 is going to be my next gun purchase.
Ordered 500x 10mm brass and already have dies, 2k primers and 9lbs of powder. Since this will not be my typical shooter. Going to order 200gr bullets and call it a day. Upgrade the front sight and extended slide release. |

Gen4 Glock 20 is a great gun.
I’ve owned three total. Two Gen2 and a Gen4. |

View Quote @Ty_Webb I'll fix your problem for you if you like... 10mm 220 hard cast has a funky O-give shape that will cause it to every once in a while pull a FTF.. It acts much like someone limp wristed the shot and leaves the slide anywhere from mostly open to barely open...Does not matter who's 220 hard cast, does not seem to matter who's pistol..I've heard of a lot of them doing it..The easy cure, We in my group that carry 10mm for bears use only Underwood 200 grain hard cast..We have never heard or scene a 200 HC hang the slide.. |

I started looking at g20g5 and wound up going fn510 instead. Really like it. But would have really liked the glock too.

I’ve got a 20.4 and really love it. It’s been super reliable and fun to shoot, especially at bowling pin matches where it really seems to shine.
Sig FMJ is my go-to for practice and Underwood 200 grain hard cast my woods load. It’s killed 2 rattlesnakes so far. |
|
My first Glock was a 21. Then bought the lw 6" 10mm slide. Then the timberwolf frame I think the two frame is slightly smaller and more comfortable.

Did up a Polymer80 G21 last year. Been slowly collecting the parts needed to do a Polymer80 G20.
The .45 is a hoot to fire. I had a G21 a long time ago. The Clinton ban made it worth too much to keep. Sold the pistol with 2 mags for about $750. Sold the 17 or 18 13rd factory mags for $150 each around 1999-2000. |

The new Speer 200 grain Gold Dot appears to be the perfect defensive load. 200 grain gold dot at 1100 fps.

|
Go for it OP. Great gun. Zero malfunctions with mine through just north of 1,000 rounds.
