Let's get out of here before one of those things kills guy!

I KNOW! You construct a weapon. Look around you, can you form some sort of rudimentary lathe?

LATHE? GET OFF THE LINE GUY!

That and all the thermians being retarded with hairdos and all.

That movie was such a sleeper.

Sam Rockwell was probably the best character.

Good:
Search for Spock
Undiscovered County

Meh:

But there was a certain scene in Alien where the VHS tape wore out from being paused there countless times.

It was so smart… it was simultaneously a critique of fanboy culture AND a love letter to the fanboys that spawned that culture.

All while being a very fun, entertaining movie. Also a perfect example of one-and-done… they didn’t make a franchise out of it, they just made the one and let it be it’s own excellent little moment in time. Great writing, amazing cast, you name it.

I like how you can clearly see her saying "Fuck that!" and they changed it in post.

The director was upset with the studio not allowing him to make it rated R. In the scene where Sigourney and Tim are about to enter the chompers, he purposely filmed Sigourney saying "Fuck that!" but edited the voice to say "Forget that!" It's so obvious the lips don't match the words and he loves it.

Wrath of Khan is masterful. Although one thing to think about is that it’s much harder to make a comedy.

Wrath was originally a throw away, capitalize on the success of Trek, cheap movie with a low budget. Designed to kill Spock.

Then Ricardo got cast.

LOL, I think I identified with the woman wanting to come with them to the future. It was the most accessible Trek film for me.

Like the "Moby Dick" story it heavily references, it's a particularly male-appealing narrative.

The only free DVD I ever got was some really bad Tommy Lee Jones movie that was mostly a 90 minute commercial for some ridiculously impractical fighting knife.
