Let's get out of here before one of those things kills guy!
I KNOW! You construct a weapon. Look around you, can you form some sort of rudimentary lathe? LATHE? GET OFF THE LINE GUY! That and all the thermians being retarded with hairdos and all. |

I love this movie. |

"I see you managed to take your shirt off again."
Great movie! |

I saw an interview one time where the director apparently wanted it to be rated R with Sigourney being top less. Apparently the scene was shot but cut at the last minute in hopes of getting more viewers.

The director was upset with the studio not allowing him to make it rated R. In the scene where Sigourney and Tim are about to enter the chompers, he purposely filmed Sigourney saying "Fuck that!" but edited the voice to say "Forget that!" It's so obvious the lips don't match the words and he loves it.

Quoted: It was so smart… it was simultaneously a critique of fanboy culture AND a love letter to the fanboys that spawned that culture. All while being a very fun, entertaining movie. Also a perfect example of one-and-done… they didn’t make a franchise out of it, they just made the one and let it be it’s own excellent little moment in time. Great writing, amazing cast, you name it. View Quote It was lightning in a bottle. Amazing to think about, in retrospect. |

Quoted: "Double dumbass, Admiral?" "That's just how they talked in these days. No one pays you any attention unless every other word is a curse." View Quote LOL, I think I identified with the woman wanting to come with them to the future. It was the most accessible Trek film for me. I liked Khan, just not the way guys seem to is all. |

Like the "Moby Dick" story it heavily references, it's a particularly male-appealing narrative. |

Has anyone seen the documentary that HSHE did on Galaxy Quest? You ahd to be a paying member to see it. I have not seen it but was wondering about it.

When I bought my first DVD player around 2001, it came with 5 free DVDs.
Galaxy Quest was one of them, and the best. |

Beaming the Rock Monster into the cargo bay was my single most favorite scene. The cigarette dropping out of the guys mouth is priceless.

Not sure if this has been said yet, but Sigourney Weaver is hot….period…

Those must be the minors. Yeah, they are like 3 years old. Miners, not Minors! Great movie! |

an excellent movie! I generally don't enjoy spoof movies (space balls) but Galaxy Quest was so well done and the acting was on point!
