That's probably about 10% accurate, judging from the previous spoilers posted up.

I dunno, man.  If GoT keeps heading down it’s current path it might make the last season of Lost (as bad as it was) look as satisfying as the last season of Breaking Bad by comparison.

I hope what I read was wrong.
That post EP8 I'll be saying, "You know the series was great - would have handled the Night King thing different, but damn good overall"

Not really how it works. Although, the pitch meeting would be fun to watch.

HBO: You are going to spend how much to leak alternate scenes via an obscure Thai Twitter account a few hours before the episode premieres? Why?

What is your ideal ending to this series?
The short version: LOTR-esque.   Bad guys vanquished, someone good on the throne (I was open to whoever).

In specifics:
- Cersei Arc handled by EP3, and by Arya and a few people on a clandestine mission.
Varys idea. Super risky to not commit any army, more or less doubling down on fighting the army of the dead instead.
Tyrion agrees they need their army up North.
- "The long night" handled over several episodes.  Dany pulled off the battlefield because - pregnant.
- Army of the dead in one Episode.
- White walkers, 100 of them, handled in another.
Lots of Bran talking about the WW, what they want, etc.
- Final Episode for the Night King.

Night king fighting a 4 on 1 battle, Night King has everyone over-matched.
Bran tells Dany to hop onto Drogon, and scorch everyone.
The weirwood tree, the hound, Bran, Jorah, Jon Snow, Tormund, the Night King, everything in the Godswood.
Dragonfire works (for the same reason Valyrian steel, forged with dragon fire, would work, but they can't cut him), and everyone is roasted.
EXCEPT for Jon, who is - part Targaryan. At which point Dany believes.
Jon horrified that he watched, Dany horrified she did that.

The "bitter-sweet ending" talk, basically meaning - "the good guys win, but the cost is enormous and the losses huge."
Sweet, but bitter.

Oh with the 9 minute piano-music slow walking, goodbyes and drinking scenes, that's like 4 seasons above.
seriously though, I was asked what my ideal ending might have looked like, that's what a short outline version looks like off the top of my head.
No sense in going further as that shit ain't gunna happen

Not bad.  I do feel the Night King stuff should have been the last thing handled in the series. It feels like they just wanted to get that over with so they could continue the story with Cersi.

Besides  that Burlington Bar, that is.

Never mind that the tactics stunk last week, it was an emotional ending for the episode.
So how many videos are going to be made tonight
