Does everyone forget that there’s wildfire caches all over the city from the Mad King? Did they also forgot that Cersei had them continue to make and store it until Tyrion had a plan for the invasion at Blackwater? Now that she’s back in power do you think they aren’t making anymore?

Did everyone forget that Cersei used wildfire to blow up the Great Sept of Baelor?

Dragons won’t be needed to burn Kings Landing. Cersei has already shown that she won’t be taken alive. She’ll burn the city to the ground if defeat seems eminent.

The only way she’s coming off the throne is when they scrape her ashes off of it.

It wouldn't surprise me if The Lannisters are the main target of The Night King since Cersei is the usurper with absolutely no legitimate claim to The Iron Throne.
But why would the NK even care?
He doesnt. He wants a bigger army and where have they repeatedly been telling us there are a million people?
I was referencing Cersei being a usurper.
How can a Goddess be a usurper?

Cool idea.  Only problem I see is that burned people can't become wights.
Definitely other ways to kill, of course.

Who is going to burn them alive? The NK would go to use the people of KL to raise another massive army of the dead. Jamie would burn this now massive undead army using the wildfire.

Bran worged into the mad king "burn them all" the same way he worged into Hodor "hold the door"

Spoiler Theory: Many young KL college grads return as massive Social Justice Warriors and they make the NK apologize for the being a male, a colonizer, and not giving WOC (Wights of Color) more prominent positions in the army.

There’s a couple of issues with your theory.

1. The Night King has spent the past decade building this huge army. He has whooly mammoths, giants, white walkers, an untold number of Wright’s, and a dragon. He’s going to abandoned them a days march from the largest force ever assembled (that we’ve seen)? Yea, that’s a solid plan.

2.  Let’s say he does that and flies the 1500 miles south to KL. How is supposed to kill everyone in the city by himself without burning them? I get it, he’s a likable dude. He’s got that strong silent type thing going for him, rides around on an undead dragon that he made his slaves retrieve from a frozen lake, and have you seen his javelin throws?! He’s a certified badass but he’s also seen his men die at the hands of humans. You think he just says “fuck it” it’s only 1000000:1, we’ll do it live?

3. The biggest issue is going to be the distance. Bronn sees him at home point south of winterfell, continues north and finds Jamie. Jamie then rides the 1500+ miles south before the NK starts marching north? Little Finger did die at winterfell, maybe his fast travel device is there?

Personally I'd much rather they spent that money on Ghost kicking ass in the Battle for Winterfell and/or tearing shit up in King's Landing than having Jon and Dany all but sing a 'Whole New World.'

YMMV.

1. Not abandon necessarily. He's got all of his generals and crap there. But if he wants bodies KL is populated with 10x more people than his army holds now.

2. He has a dragon that breaths something (cant be fire or it would kill itself) A few strafing runs on KL with that and all the people he turns will turn the others quickly enough.

3. Lets not even talk about time and distance in this show. Main characters fast travel all the time.

I’m half expecting Ser Jorah “Friendzone” Mormont to sit on the throne at the end. That way they can have a breakdown on how if you stayed cuckholded long enough good things will happen to you.

What happens to your theory when Cersei just burns down KL with all her wildfire caches throughout the city?

The dragons breath made the wall explode. A couple of passing though KL and Cersei won’t even have to burn it down. The Night King will do it for her.

Nothing? The theory is hes going to KL and why. Not what actually happens when he gets there.

We know a dragon flies over KL and we know the throne room gets torched.

Well, for #2 like any other zombie infection.  Raise a few already dead, or off a few by hand, let them loose to kill. Rinse, repeat.  The dragon just gets him there.  Use the dragon to keep too many from fleeing the city.  But without fast communication and a concept of zombies there will be half a million ghouls there in no time.

It's not a classic 'bit by zombie, become zombie' situation. Still need white walkers on the ground.

And since the Night King has shown a better understand of combined arms operation then anyone else in Westeros, he'll be smart enough to realize that no war was won by an Air Force.

The NK can leave a force of 40K to lay siege of Winterfell and take the rest south.   The problem is getting across the twins.   As long as the Freys hold the bridge Queen landing is safe.   The army of the dead can't swim they need the bridges just like Rob did.  All Cersi has to do is destroy the twins is safe.
