There's a former USMC marine over there as a volunteer, who is on his third "tour", and previously volunteered with the kurds in Syria/Iraq and in other various conflicts. He goes by the name of civ-div on YouTube, and he recently demonstrated how to hide from drones with thermal. Staying still under heavy vegetation was a game changer in his demo.

They state the drone has issues flying above 40m with the payload. Flight is usually limited by altitude (due to thinner air), not height above ground. So I was wondering about the geographic limitations of that setup. |

If the threads are thin enough, it might not be detected from drone launch height. Rig high and loose, to soften payload landing. The DJI Inspire drop mechanism is really ingenious and simple. It's a servo motor that only has to spin to 4 cardinal positions. It has a disk with a cut out and there are 4 hooks on levers at the 4 positions around the edge of the device. As the open spot in the disc passes by they are allowed to trip and rotate down.

I’ve seen Ukrainian and Russia videos where a “jamming gun” is successfully employed. Detecting them to begin with is a problem, and nobody is going to be using a jamming gun where there is a lot of fire coming in.
