View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: I can’t believe how well the 1911 did. I love my M&P. Fantastic shooter. Same here. While USGI 1911's have always been pretty reliable in poor environments, modern built versions have always seemed to be built on the "tight" side. Tight and mud (or sand... or ice... or whatever) is a recipe for trouble. The Springfield pro trials proved that false. And the nighthawk here did too. Tight guns keep junk out. This seems like a good time to remember that both Garand Thumb and Kommie Karl did rifle mud tests, and that the AKs failed both of their mud tests while the ARs passed. It turns out keeping garbage out of your gun helps it run more reliably. Who knew? |

I think these torture tests are always "fun" to watch and try to predict outcomes. But just for the entertainment value. Scientifically there's zero value. Too small of a sample size, and the testing isn't controlled enough to be of any scientific value.
Fun nonetheless. |

What did GT do in his personal life that made us hate him?

It's not about the information in the videos anymore. Everyone needs to dissect irrelevant minutia. Don't care what he did or does in his personal life, no different than any big time celebrity. Do I care when Robert DeNiro talks about guns or Covid? Nope, entertain me you fucking clown. |

I learned that there is a lot of postings made by people who do not take their firearms into the field. I use shotguns in freezing rain, mud and dirt while duck hunting. Cedar trees are very hard on firearm operations. I carry Ruger .357 as a side arm. Big pigs where I hunt. Best to know the limitations of you firearms. |

Quoted: …y’all know the M17/M18 has literally always been drop safe, right? Also, disappointed in the Glock, Beretta, and Mark 23. Impressed by the little M&P that could. I know it’s not anything real and just for fun, but still. View Quote I was joking when I posted - had only gotten that far in the video. M&Ps have rebates going on now, if I didn't already have 3... Not a fan of the 'suppressor height sights' on the Optics Ready model, may replace them at some point. The grips are uber-aggressive; I know I have soft hands but wow, I don't like carrying it AIWB because it rubs me the wrong way. |

No, don't own one. But any real test would need a lot of random samples of a particular model. These kinds of tests are fun to watch but don't prove anything. |

That was a good 30 minutes of entertainment. His videos usually make me smile or laugh. That’s all I look to get out of it and that’s fine.

As a HK fan boy, I was surprised (alittle bit) the mk23 didn't go further. But I also kinda figured being a hammer fired gun, it was 50/50 if stuff was going to get in the hammer and cause a malfunction. That being said the nighthawk surprised me the most. I figured any/all 1911's weren't going to work.

Haha I've secretly wanted an M&P for a while. I had a shield a long time ago and it was a decent carry gun but times have changed and pistols have evolved. I have a G19 MOS and a G43X MOS now and I am real interested in a 2.0 Compact in FDE.
Does anyone know the thickness comparing a G19.5 to a SW Compact 2.0? |

View Quote The M&P 2.0 has almost identical dimensions to the Glock 19 except that IMO the grip feels way better in the hand and it points naturally to me. The M&P is slightly slimmer. I carried a Glock 19 for years but as soon as the S&W 2.0 compact came out I sold it. I the M&P is heavier because it uses a stainless slide. Attached File |
