Original Blaire was much hotter than Anniston ever was

They both aged beautifully.  If I had my choice… well shit - flip a coin.  You can’t lose.

Didn't see it, but sometimes I'll make my wife watch the originals (and other '80s shows) with me on Pluto, or Antenna TV.  She's 30, so she never saw any of the '80s shows.

Mid '80s in Jacksonville, Kung Fu theatre came on tv around noon on Saturdays. That was my introduction to nunchuks. I wanted a pair badly.
I took my mom's broom out to the shed, sawed the handle down, screwed in eye bolts and tied the two pieces together with one of my dad's bootlaces.
I damn near beat myself stupid with those things. Then I got my ass kicked by mom for the broom and by dad for the bootlace.
It was worth it though, mom refused to admit defeat so I got to watch her sweep the kitchen with that sawed off, midget broom stick for about a week. I still laugh when I think about her, bent over trying to use that short broom stick while calling me an aggravating, little son of a bitch.

My wife grew up in Los Angeles. She actually saw a lot of these shows filmed as part of “a live studio audience”. It’s how schools raised money in California. Studios pay schools to fill the audience, so they organize field trips as fund raisers.

Her favorite show as a member of the audience was “Married With Children” when skydiving Santa crashed and burned into the Buddy’s back yard.

She took me to a live taping of Jeff Foxworthy when I first met her. It was fun at first, but it’s actually a grueling 8 hours to film a 30 minute show. They tape every scene 3-4 times and you’re expected to laugh enthusiastically every time. After an hour you’re pretty much burned out. They make it a point to bus in the audience so you can’t leave. After that one show…never again.
