They should make an announcement tomorrow that RVW is overturned....and the a few hours later the solar flare erupts and knocks out the power grid pretty much entirely. Fun times.

Q predicted this.

Akchually, Ed Dames predicted this a lot further back on Coast to Coast AM.
But he always said it would be happening within the year.   It never happened within the next year, and it was either Art Bell or George Noory who told him if his big predictions don't start coming true, he's done as a guest.    And I think he was done, at least for some time before I quit following C2C.
Ed Dames was allegedly one of the remote viewers that were used in the DoD "stargazer" remote viewing program.  AF or Army officer when he was involved.

No, it takes about 8 minutes for the light to get to Earth from the solar flare. If it sends a CME that take a couple of days.

CME's will not end the world, but a solar flare certainly could......

500 seconds times 186,000 miles per second (speed of light) is 8.3 minutes.
The distance travelled in that time is 93 million miles.
Radiation from the sun should travel at the same speed as the light, right?

A CME is not radiation, it's a Coronal Mass Eject as in part of the Sun is ejected into space.

Now the fun thing is that if you have multiple ones that clear the way to Earth, you can get a faster CME that takes hours to get here instead of days.

Photons do. So light, radiation, microwave, radio, etc. (all photons) all get here at the same time, if they were emitted from the same spot. There is variance due to gravity (route photon takes) and what part of the sun it comes from.

Particles, take a few hours to a few days to weeks to get to us. Depending on what they are and the energy they have. Typical coronal mass ejection of plasma (hot particles) gets here in something like 4 days.  A sunspot belching shit directly at us gives us a couple days warning and we would know what half of the Earth gets hit.

A coronal MASS ejection isn't "radiation" and can not travel at light speed.

That's the time it takes the sun's light/heat/X-ray radiation to reach Earth.  CME's take a lot longer than that.

Also from the same article on spaceweather.com:

"Despite its alarmingly speedy growth, the giant sunspot is less scary than it may seem. The flares it will most likely produce are M-class solar flares, which "generally cause brief radio blackouts that affect Earth's polar regions," alongside minor radiation storms, the European Space Agency wrote in a blog post. M-class flares are the most common type of solar flare. Although the sun does occasionally release enormous X-class flares (the strongest category) with the potential to cause high-frequency blackouts on the side of Earth that's exposed to the flare, these flares are observed much less often than smaller solar eruptions."

calm your tits.
