We never store CC information, so that's not an issue. |

I see all sides of the threat, some of them you're not defeating by removing group icons or using bitcoin (still won't btw) - cut off the levels you can for now. The point isn't 100% or nothing - it's doing the best we can with what we have Listen folks. We are all part of this community and have done nothing illegal to worry about. The doxxing threat is always there no matter what. Just be careful what you say and where. This does not only apply to the forums, but to life. The actions we are taking are simply to make it a little tougher for folks who want to engage in illegal activities like doxxing and targeting others. I have never hid my information and don't plan to start now. I am a patriot of this great nation and I am a gun owner. I believe in the Constitution and freedom of speech. I have been discriminated against for being Hispanic and sadly, I fully expect to be discriminated against for being a conservative. (Constitutionalist to be more exact.) |

Quoted: This is why I never sent one in. As noted above, they've never saved them. And in everything I've ever read on the topic, including the original instructions I followed, they made it clear that they receive it, review it, and then delete it...and they also state that you can black out portions of it. Or just don't send it in. We're all good with that.

This is not my area of expertise; so there should be no recipient (including the CC processors) who can tie a membership purchase here to a card name and address? Obviously you guys have every incentive to protect user information, but some woke database admin at Amex doesn't have the capability, even if they had the desire, correct? I'm not referring to responding to court orders, which I am sure they do all the time, I mean woke leaks. |
