Smoking a Ghost right now and honestly not a bad cigar I just wish gurkha was more consistent.

I've never had a good Gurkha, I've had some ok ones though. I've also never smoked a Ghost FWIW.
For a sub $12 cigar I'll smoke a Caldwell Long Live the King or a Blind Mans Bluff. Never been disappointed with a Caldwell. |
|
I wouldn't buy them. I'd smoke one if it was a gift, but I'd never pay for one. Got a sampler from CI a fewyears back and really didn't like any of them.
My favorites at the moment is Ramon Beuso "Genesis The Project". |

All hat and no cattle. That said the infused tubos aren't bad.

sure, you have money to spare, and choose to spend it on the finer things in life.
but you still sound like a jackass talking about which whiskeys and cigars you prefer. maybe someone should send some my way so I can compare. |

Not a big fan.
I'd recommend any padron (especially the 1964 line) or an EP Carrilo La Historia or Encore. If you want something light, try a Perdomo Champagne. |

Terrible, the last one I had was like smoking shredded oak lumber, wrapped in dried shit.

Whether you approve or not, is up to you. I would offer this bit of advice: Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding. |

The Legend is one of my go to cigars. Every other Ghurka I have tried has been terrible.

I tend to stick to more boutique brands these days. Crowned Heads, Foundation Cigar co, Warped, etc...
Have a look at some of the samplers on smallbatchcigar.com |

I had two five packs. The first pack, 2 burned good, the other 3 were plugged. The second pack, 2 were plugged and 2 had pencil eracer size voids, and 1 burned well. Flavor was ok.

I'm just sitting here waiting to get my hands on the new batch of Opus X Purple Rain

Inconsistent and overpriced. The ‘warrior’ line isn’t bad if you catch them cheap enough but the special edition stuff is a waste.

Gurkha has a few good labels that I like: Ghost, Rogue, Wicked Indie, Red Witch. Most of the rest of everything else I've tried hasn't been remarkable enough to make me want to smoke another.

There actually is quite a bit of difference in the flavor and strength of cigars. Sounds like you’ve only ever smoked a few cheap ones. The shitty taste in those can all run together. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |
