Add me in! Just made my first batch of Edworts Apfelwein. I recently cracked a bottle that was almost a year old....it was amazing. I used S-04 instead of Montrachet, though (I like some sweetness). My roommate got a bunch of carboys for free from his family, so we are going to make a shit ton of apfelwein at one time, trying different yeasts. |

I'll offer to do the same thing, and my beer making so far has been extract (so very very simple), if people are interested and I can get the wife to snap photos (not those kinds of photos) I'd be more than happy. Further I purpose we start an ARFCOM brewing club with the intent on competing in national competitions. Much like the brewing network guys do it but te logistics would be difficult. We could each month, agree on a style o beer and each brewer would brew and submit their offerings to an impartial judge, (site staff would work but we would need to follow the BJCP guidelines.) Winner's from each style would submit their brew's as the ARFCOM group. Any winnings could go toward the site memberships.
This would require at least a dozen or so brewers with an agreed and posted schedule of categories. If I'm not mistaken, we have at least one BJCP certified judge on here so we could run this like a real competition. Thoughts? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
