Just a note to those not familiar with the area. Rockport and Fulton are mainland communities. Aransas Pass is the mainland community that is sister to Port Aransas via cosway to ferry or by driving about 20ish miles down the beach road and taking the cosway to Corpus. The people coming into Corpus now are probably the late evacuee from Port A who did not make the ferry that shut down hours ago. I seriously would not want to be on the island road from Port A to North Padre Island right now |

Had to replace the wood floor in living room and master bedroom carpet wind blew open double doors upstairs and drove rain straight in. Have since been reinforced. The gangway in picture was found out in the middle of the harbor there and it ain't light and had to rip out and break a couple of very large bolts. Just got back from Boondoggles and Arlans Market. Both had plenty of beer.

Attached File Have a good thought or a small prayer for our 13M Catalac in the Marina in the middle of Port A. This will be a direct hit by the eye of the storm in the next hour or so. Previous owners said it's been through three 150 mph storms in it's history and none of these custom boats have ever sunk. Everything is stripped and sealed with all bumpers out. Insurance is paid up and it's at a floating dock that can rise to 15 feet. I know it's first world problems but fingers crossed and wish us Luck. |

Damn, pretty depressed about the certain loss of, of all things, my reloading equipment, my Wolf primers that I can't get anymore, they are the best.
Not my home, my reloading stuff, odd first world problem I guess. I suppose reality will kick in soon and I will adjust my priorities when I have no place to live. Oh well glad I bugged the fuck out of there. Fingers crossed. |
