I need to pick up a floor jack for misc garage / shop / house usage. I'm looking at this 4ton Harbor Freight unit.

I'm not of the opinion that I need a Snap On floor jack to use around the house. |

I have 2 of the 4 Ton units. No issues.
I got them cheaper than what's in the link. I wanna say around $179. |

The daytona 4 ton floor jacks are superb. They're made in the same factory as the Snap ons and are dang near identical.
I use them to lift heavy trucks all the time. They fixed the jack stands and they're pretty good now |

Not sure about the 4 ton, but the DJ3000, is a direct clone of Snap On, and supposedly using the same parts suppliers

I've used a HF floor jack for over 20 years. No problems. I noticed that my local tire shop uses Daytona jacks when I was getting tires installed a few weeks ago.

I've got a long reach 3 ton. Have used it to do brake jobs on 1 ton trucks. No complaints. Like others have said it seems to be a clone of snap-on.

I bought a 3 ton red floor jack a while back after my 35 year old Craftsman jack shit the bed. I don't use it much but the few times I have used it, it worked fine.

Yup I have the aluminum ones and its great. I did make a mistake and leave it out side for a month in the rain. It got some rust on the handle to valve stuff, a quick shot with clp and a few turns and it works fine. In fact I just put front brakes on the wifes car and changed both of our oils today using it. ( bonus I installed fumato valves as well ) |

I dont have that one but I picked up the Pittsburg aluminum 1.5 ton rapid pump a few years ago. I use the crap out of it and its been great.

I have one that’s about 15-20 years old. Heavy as all get out. It’s lifted the front end of a 75hp tractor. I have the smaller aluminum one I haul when I trailer my boat. Both good buys.

Jacks & jack stands are two things I'd never cheap out on. My floor jacks are Hein-Werner & they're well worth the extra few $$$ over the China Freight brands.

HF jacks are made in the same factory as Snap on, or so I've heard. HF has stepped their game up, it's not what it used to be. I have one of their rolling tool boxes, looks and feels as good as a matco/snap-on.
